John Jay Mustangs hit the big time on the ESPYS

    Tonight on ESPN they had their award show called the ESPYS. Nominated in the Most Spectacular Play category was Chris Ross, a junior, from my old high school, John Jay. His team won the 5A boys high school basketball championship on a last second, half-court, hail mary buzzer beater that, of course, he shot. He was 0 for 12 before that shot. Many of you who watch Sportscenter remember 'cause they showed it!!!

    Anyway, Chris didn't win (Derek Jeter for his relay play during the Yankees vs. Oakland series last october did), but him just being nominated speaks volumes for John Jay alums wordwide. John Jay MUSTANGS Class of '93.

    P.S.- If you think this is all pathetic, I don't care. School pride never dies.
