And Treat Williams was an extra in ESB, during the ground battle scene.

That was strange, because while not famous, he had already done broadway, several films and was the lead in a few films before ANH.

Hell, he was the lead in the movie, "Hair".

I still just can't believe that John Ritter died. WTF! He was so young! 54 is too young to die, IMO. He was so great in SLING BLADE and THREE'S COMPANY, damn it.

I loved the way he presented himself too. He just seemed like an all around nice guy, good hearted, and so nice.

Oh, and did I mention nice.

    R.I.P. J. Ritter :(

Although it's not his voice. Isn't he also the guy who tells everyone to get to their ships after Leia's speech?

Yeah, that was also him. Was his voice dubbed? Because I've seen him in some interviews where he doesn't really sound like he did on CHEERS, which is how everybody is used to hearing him, so I thought his voice in ESB was maybe his real, non-CHEERS voice.

And Treat Williams was an extra in ESB, during the ground battle scene.

Of course, determining where he is is impossible. I beat even he couldn't point out where he is. He also played one of the Cloud City guards, though he isn't seen anywhere in the film. (A card shows the character he's credited as at IMDB as the guy who hits Han over the back of the head in the jail, but that is definitely not Williams). I'm guessing he may have been in a small scene that was cut, because they did include him in a publicity photo of Lobot and three guards, which can be seen in the book STAR WARS: THE ACTION FIGURE ARCHIVE.

It seems that was the opinion of everyone who knew him, that he was one of the most nicest, sweetest people you would ever meet.

I mourned in Community, but I'll give another R.I.P. here.

I'll miss you, Mr. Ritter. My kid loves Clifford.

The ANH reference is interesting. I wish there was a reliable source to confirm or deny this.

Treat Williams is a talented, underrated actor who almost made it big, but never seemed to really get the break he deserved. He's starred in a variety of films and can currently be seen as the father in the dopey teen angst WB show EVERWOOD.

John Ritter will be missed as he was one of the most entertaining actors I can remember and I loved him on shows like Three's a company and Hooperman (he played a cop there) as well as memorable guest appearances on Buffy and Ally McBeal to name but two popular shows. He will be missed.

It has to be said that the picture does look like him. And if someone remembers this Arsenio Hall show then it is obvious that John was actutally in Star Wars. I will watch the scene tonight.

Did anybody see John Ritter in Blake Edward's Skin Deep? There's a funny Star Wars homage involving a pitch black scene and two glow-in-the-dark condoms!

I have watched the film yet again and think it is actually Ritter. And when I think about it, I think I saw that Arsenio show.
