Hollywood Bowl Show Info

Quite a few seats left for Friday, very few for Saturday.

Anyone talk to the OC or LA folks about this yet?

 

I think we should just spring for those cheap seats again. They were high up, yes...but it's an orchestral concert. There's not much to see.

 

I would like to be in the FanForce section if there is one this year. Anyone wanna check with the other FFs or should I do it?

I can charge them for our group if I can get a definite.

 

I'll most likely be going, and if I go I'll be going alone so I guess that's one ticket.

Preference on where to sit? The um, whole noise/lightsabre controversy has actually come up in the LA FF thread on John Williams, so it's our call where to sit.

Also, anyone know how to get ahold of Jonathan (sp?) to find out if he needs tickets?

 

I'm sure Matt and/or Kelsey have his phone number. I actually think I have it around here too, somewhere...

OK, seven tickets purchased as follows:
1 for Keiran
2 for marmakecam
2 for YJ
and
2 for GB

We are in row 16 of section T1. I tried fiddling wtih different seating configurations (i.e., buying 3 in one row and 4 in the next, right behind) in order to see if we could get any closer and still be together, but this is the best I could do.

Each ticket, counting the surcharge and Ticketmaster's handling fee, ends up being $19.59. I chose the no-cost slow way of receiving the tickets in order to avoid many, many more dollars in charges.

If anyone else who did NOT contact me wishes to join us there, there are still plenty of tickets in this row and the row right behind us that look to be available.

Right now it looks like our best bet would be to drive to one of the parking lots on Ventura Boulevard and take the Bowl Bus Shuttle to the Bowl itself. All the Park & Ride locations are further away than the Bowl itself anyway, and it's only $3.00 per vehicle to park in the lot. This way, we could just grab something to eat at CityWalk or someplace around there and get to the Bowl hopefully on-time enough to not have to fight our way to our seats (wishful thinking, perhaps).

 

Why don't we go to the place that we went last time? That seemed to work out well, the bowl parking lot is usually packed really early isn't it?

 

I'm up for whatever. Just tell me.

What time? I'm going to have to swing by to pick up the Mr. on our way out of town around 4:15, so if that messes y'all up, plan without us and do what ya' need to do.

 

Well, the basic problem is thus: driving time from here to Carson plus the half-hour or so spent on the bus back to the bowl seems to me like a major waste of time just so we can enjoy some fine Italian dining.

The bowl parking lots shouldn't be full, as long as we arrive promptly.

Not sure yet, I am working until 4:30 that day so perhaps I shouldn't be the one to actually plan what time we all get there.

 

Maybe it's best we handle the parking situation on our own and meet inside the bowl.
