V.C, CA John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl

Okay, so where do we want to eat?

I get off work at 4:30pm, so probably the ideal time if we were all to eat together would be around 5:00. Let me know so I can work out transportation and whatnot, also if we don't all eat together we need a place to meet outside the bowl so we can all get our tickets.

Thoughts/decisions?

 

So what is everyone's plans? I sort of doubt we'll be able to meet for food since I think we're taking the bus which drops us off at the bowl.

 

I'd like to meet to eat, but we're leaving Ventura around 4:15-4:30.

Marma, where are you catching the bus from?

 

Pretty sure we're going to the same place we went last year.

 

If we wanted to meet at that Olive Garden again at around 5:00 we could all bus to the bowl together.

 

I thought that was the original plan and you didn't wanna do it? if we did that we could call it meeting #36 and say we never had to miss a meeting...

 

As I recall the original reason I didn't want to do it was because I thought we met at the Carson Park and Ride, rather than in Chatsworth where we actually met.

Needless to say, I am a bit idiotic sometimes.

That would work amazingly well, so I am in complete support of meeting at the Olive Garden and calling it Meeting 36.

 

That would work, I guess. I took Saturday off and Eric is coming home Friday night, so there's no time problems for us. I work every day until then so if something happens, call me to make sure I get it.

 

All sounds cool to me. Who wants to plan times and what not?

Well, 5:00 sounds good, but I won't be there until at least 5:15. Let's say 5:00 so we can get in and out as quickly as possible. The buses leave for the bowl every fifteen minutes until 7:00pm.

The Olive Garden in Chatsworth. Unless anyone has another suggestion...

Keiran, can you do your handy-dandy map and directions type thing that you're so good at?

You should be able to punch that into MapQuest or a similar tool and get varying directions, all of which will take you to the restaurant.

Try and take into account travel time, potential traffic, etc. If we don't reach the bus stop by 7:00 we're stuck. As I recall, last time we just made the final bus. Let's try to avoid a repeat of that.

 

OK, we might have to do fast food dinner and try to catch you at the bus. (If we're not leaving Ventura until 4:15/4:30, not much chance we'd make it in time to see you guys there.)

Which Park and Ride place? Is there only one in Chatsworth?

 

Yes, there is only one in Chatsworth. It is, I believe, the third or fourth one on the list of Park & Ride locations listed on the Hollywood Bowl website.

OK, new plan. I'll meet you guys outside the bowl (inside the lot) at about 7:30. Turns out friends of ours are also driving down and leaving at about 5:30, so we're carpooling. They're parking *in* the lot, so we're tagging along in their minivan!
