Is this the same set in the Disney Emporium website? I'm emailing them because they say it's the Force Awakens CD but not the Deluxe CD. So I'm waiting for a response before ordering.

I don't think it's real. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the individual "theme" tracks always follow directly after the opening track on Williams' OST releases.

I wouldn't say just because it doesn't follow that it means it's fake. Remember, this is Disney Records releasing the album. They're probably doing things in chronological order. Sony Records or whatever isn't releasing it.

We only have heard less than 1 minute of TFA music?

30 second previews are no doubt coming. That 1 minute will grow to 11.

I've been wondering lately how long it'll be until we get those. Should only be a couple weeks now...

I remember the prequel days and the whole soundtrack for each film leaked about a month before release. Credit LFL on keeping a much tighter ship this time.

It's inarguable (for me at least) that Duel of the Fates was the theme of the PT. I wonder what it will be for the ST. The OT was dominated by three, the main title (Luke's theme), The Force (Ben's theme) and of course the Imperial March.

What a fantastic record I am listening to right now, "John Williams conducts music from Star Wars and other movies" with Boston Pops Orchesta. Some of the best OT themes there (brilliant new take on Luke and Leia´s theme) plus some of the Maestro greatest.

He is just the number one.

Anyone think the Deluxe Edition will be a two disc set like Disney did with Frozen and the Legacy Collection releases??

If that soundtrack list was real ( I think it is ), then 'The Ways of The Force' sounds like it might be something along the lines of Duel of the Fates.

I too hope that track features prominent choral work (should the tracklist be legit). I feel like Rey finally accepting the force should call for something momentous music-wise.

When I think of prequel tracks, I mainly think of Duel of the Fates and Across the Stars. Oddly, considering it's such an incredible film, nothing comes to mind from ROTS specifically. It's all great music, though, and ROTS integrates some of the classic music in new ways that is really awesome, kind of transitional, I guess you'd say. I have the TFA soundtrack on pre-order and I'm sure I'll listen to it a million times between my million theatrical viewings.

To me it sounds like too specific a callback to Ben and Luke in the original film to be anything other that a cue for a training scene or underscore for a mystical discussion. You could be right, though.

For me, Across the Stars was THE theme of the prequels.

Duel of the Fates, Across The Stars and Battle of the Heroes are my top three PT era cues.

Agreed. It would be unusual for something with that title to not centre on the actual force theme we know and love. Perhaps it's a more formal arrangement of it (although we had something similar in the ROTS OST).

A description from the Italian Amazon site...

Didn't that MSW report say that Williams wrote a highly memorable cantina piece? This seems to line up with Ward's report than the recent tracklist leak(?), especially with the length being little over an hour.

Today is Cyber-Monday. The only way anyone can purchase the score right now is by ordering it. Amazon is the #1 place to order from. It's kind of hard to imagine them not having something in terms of the names of the tracks or AT LEAST the number of tracks to give those ordering it online something.

i still think this beats William's works, but Uematsu is probably the only one who can top JW. And since he sticks to game music they have no reason to fight.
