That is some skilled colouring all-right, though I liked the effect the mix had.

It says some interesting things about people's knowledge of Padme.

The Padme thing is why I'm looking forward to a new post ROTJ.
Instead of waiting until 30 some odd years later.

Cool, thanks Ben! I'll look around for those, Queen and Country looks and sounds like something I'll like. Think I'll give the Batwoman: Elegy a shot too.

And hopefully some consistency on who knows who Vader really was/that Luke and Leia are his and Padme's and when the wider public finds out. That was very poorly done in the old EU for several reasons, both avoidable and less so.

The thing is, why would Luke's revelation to Leia about her being his brother/Vader's daughter mean she would then know that she's Padme's daughter? From what Rucka is writing, it seems to be established that Leia knows Padme is her mother as of the immediate aftermath of ROTJ, even if the comic itself doesn't show the scene, and the implication is that it's as a result of her talk with Luke on Endor... how exactly does that talk lead to that revelation?

Maybe Leia grew up believing herself to be the illegitemate daughter of Padme and Bail. ;)

Isn't that Kanan next to Han and Chewie?

And what's with this item which floats through the air right there? Actually Han doesn't look like he has thrown it.

I like that this comic establishes that the Empire is, in fact, still victorious on all fronts. The real war is just starting.

    Bring it on, Rebels.

It totally does though. The other guy that's definitely not Kanan even has his hand out to catch it.

I mean, if we're going by RotJ, it's probably around when Han is saying "Throw me another charge." and someone tosses him the bomb so he can stick it to the ceiling.

So who will be the first one to throw out the theory that these new characters are Rey's parents?

EDIT: That would make her Rey Bey.

In the original Marvel comics, how was the aftermath of Endor handled? I was thinking today that not many people knowing about the defeat actually would have made sense in the early EU because of how (in those distant days when the proto-Internet was still a DARPA project) interstellar communication was depicted. A big thing about the HoloNet in the early EU was how it was put under severe military restrictions under the Empire, and wasn't really a sort of mass communications thing anyway. In one of the early books I remember Luke reflecting how HoloNet communications aboard ships was slow and expensive and rare. And then in Truce at Bakura, Nereus doesn't even believe Leia about Endor until the surviving Death Squadron admiral sends a personal message to top Imperial officials.

However on the other hand, the EU assuming the defeat was public knowledge immediately matched up with the clear intentions of the ROTJ special edition ending.
