September: Aftermath, a bunch of YA novels, Shattered Empire, TPBs for the Marvel Star Wars and Princess Leia series, the month's comic books, and whatever else I might be forgetting. That's going to be a rough month for the old wallet, I tell you what.

So, the TOS Databank is being updated little by little. With some interesting hints about the post-Endor future that the site didn't use to have...

From the Rebel Alliance Biography Gallery final slide:

"The Rebels and their Ewok allies celebrated the greatest victory of the rebel cause, while bracing themselves for a tough fight against the remnants of the Imperial war machine."

I'm pretty sure that bit is new. Which isn't surprising, but still interesting all the same given how little when know about the NEU...

We pretty much already knew this by looking at the trailer but it looks like the war was still far from over after Endor. Endor will likely just end up being a turning point in the war bringing more allies to the Rebel Cause and putting the Empire on their heels in which the Rebels can take advantage (Endor might just of ended up being for GFFA how we view the Battle of Gettysburg).

 

It seems some of the original movie ideas (Moffs having direct control, the Emperor is a distant figure, Vader is an outsider/weirdo) are coming to the forefront in the new canon.
Vader being Tarkin's right-hand man in Rebels, getting demoted and being Tagge's right-hand man in the DV comic etc.

Also, the Rebels should knock out an odd blue Imperial officer running around with a yellow lizard strapped to his back, and Luke can state, "I sense we have just dodged a major crisis."

 

He's canon, it could happen!

I sort of want to see Emperor Mas Amedda, though.

 

I never really looked at those character biography slides before. Just didn't realize there was additional material there, I guess.

So has the final slide of Wedge's bio gallery always said this, or could it possibly be one of those "interesting hints"?

I knew once Cyclops got a lot of love that Greg was going to land Star Wars. He's so good and deserves this break.

Now let's find out who the interior artist is Marvel...

A post-ROTJ Star Wars comic by Rucka and illustrated by Noto would be pretty incredible.

It appears that Marco Checchetto is doing interior art on this. Another excellent choice.

 

The Rucka-Checcetto Punisher run is legendary. Awesome that they're working together again - and doing Star Wars!

 

Yep, it's sadly probably destined to be one of those over-looked, little gems.

EDIT: Along with the artist, it's been confirmed as a 4-issue arc, which also means Marvel are taking the mick on the trade RRP of £12.99! For 4 issues? That can't be right, unless they're big issues, as Amazon has the page count as 128. Even so...
