Jp, how good was the first season of TAJ? I watched the first episode back when you recommended the series, but my Australian Auntie was unable to ship me a VHS of the rest of the run. Now, however, I hear the U.K. version of Syfy is going to show the first series. I liked the first episode; were the rest of the eps as good?

 

Yes! It was corny in places, but a nice spin on the superhero in modern day genre. Good, fast pace and decent writing. Definitely keep watching.

Season 2 is also forthcoming.

I'm about four episodes into the first season, and I'm really loving the show. Ben Barrington, who plays Olaf, is kind of awesome.

 

Yeah, he's great. Promos are screening here for season 2, it starts in the next week or so.

 

It will interesting to see whether the guy that plays Anders in the series will have reduced screen time due to his commitments to The Hobbit (He is playing Fili)

Very minor spoiler: He has a beard... and he's leaving on a mission to Norway. Dunno if this actually means he will have reduced screentime this season.

 

I've just watched the Thor episode - very good. I think the series is very well cast as I like pretty much everybody, always a good sign. I hope the series will be a success in international sales - I think it's better than a lot of TV I watch, and the New Zealand flavour makes a nice change of pace from the British/American shows that dominate TV over here.
