Well, Grieyls and Paul, sometimes even stupidity can work out to turn into a logical path.. ;)

Is that a subtle, deriding reference to the Labor party :(..I could argue but I won't ;)

Oh and my lecturer today was arguing that Labor and Liberal are too similar in policies; I'd tend to have to agree.

Oh and Marvy how much is Johnny paying you ;)...can I have some of what your taking ;)

He was talking to me you dork :p

JP - there was once a time when parties were ideologically driven. Now the major parties are basically 'catch all' and can only survive by being inclusive and trying the grab either the braord right (as in the liberals case) or the centre/broard left (labor). Keating even indulged in some liberal style economic policy with economic rationalism.

But yeah, i had a lot of reasons why i joined the Liberal Party as opposed to Labor :) so yes, while it isn't seen to be so, I think there is a difference :D

Marvin, come and join the Democrats with me :D

Together we could rule the Galaxy ;) :D

And yes, I agree, there is still a difference between the Liberal and Labour; but Australian politics need to break the duopolistic hold that these two have on Australian Parliament; the minor parties can never get a hold on Parliament because of these two parties :(

The minor parties dont get elected because they just dont appeal to a huge number of voters, because the others have a good track record, and some of the smaller parties dont have a consistent policy.

People are afraid to vote for the minor parties because they feel that they don't have a chance of winning and they would be throwing away thier vote.

Because of this attitude things will never change.

Maybe (gasp) the larger parties are more popular?

Well I fail to be social; why in my golden years am I becoming so anti-social ?

Does anybody know of the cure for a growing dislike of fellow humans ;)

I fear I'm turning to the dark side...only people with wicked ways now am I attracted to ;) [face_devil]
