Eeeek, I'm tired, it's late at night,
    3:46am to be precise,
man staying up late takes some fight,
why even the mice have gone to bed,
'tis no wonder they call this the time for the dead,
My eyes grow weary and begin to close,
    spontaneously I break into prose!,
oh thank god I thee, for AOTC!,
for it is the tunes of such a film,
that fill my sad heart with glee!,
especially when the clock hath turned half past three!

And so my big assignment goes,
damn it's keeping me on my toes!
Oh well I suppose I have her,
her being a metaphor for whoever knows what!
Well I suppose I had better return to work,
before my head explodes and goes bezerk,
from being on Fanforce for way too long,
maybe I just am completly gone!

So I bid thee all a good night,
sleep well, sleep tight and don't let the Ewoks bite!

Ok, got this thread of JCC

Ok, I'll start at the beginning.

I'm homeschooled, so when I get a good amount of work done, and I have a good reason to do so, I ride my 21-speed over to the local Target. Today, I needed the nest Star Trek Magazine and some acne wash.

Anyway, a few weeks ago, there was theis REALLY hot girl who was a cashier. I, of course, went to her check-out place, rather than the grumpy grandmother or the middle-aged woman who'd think I was a hoodlum, what with my leather jacket and all.

We talked for a minuite, and then I left.

Now, every time I go, I go over to her check-out place, and she says 'hi', and then I leave.

I'm not sure if she even remembers me, but every time I go, she says 'how was your weekend', 'be careful in the snow', or 'You wanna go out for a cappachino some time?' (ok, she's never said that).

Now, to get this to a topic for discussion, here's a question:

Is there anyone you see regularly who is hot, but you're not sure actually remembers you from one day to the next?

    -----signature-----

    And I think I'm sad :)

    No.

But if you want someone to notice/remember you, do something noticable or memorable.

If you want them to remember you for a good reason, do something nice/good to them. Try starting with a conversation rather than a bouquet of roses, so you don't come off too strong.

    Let's try an analogy...

You are walking down the aisle of a toy store and see that the Republic Gunship has just been released, and you know how cool your little Yoda would look in that thing. You want to make it yours. You have two options:

    1) Admire it from afar, hoping and praying that one day you will be together.

    or

    2) Pull out your wallet, searching for the cash, credit card or other means by which to aquire it (read: DO SOMETHING).

Having made some kind of effort on your part one of two things may happen:

    1) The Republic Gunship, nestled lovingly in your embrace, go home and live happily ever after.

    or

    2) You fail to come up with the required funds (what the Republic Gunship was "looking for") - your union was never meant to be. You go home alone.

In the case of the later, you have three choices:

    1) Decide that since you can't be with the Republic Gunship, there is no Star Wars toy that could possibly make you happy, so you move on to Trek (read into that what you will).

    or

    2) Improve upon the situation that the Republic Gunship found lacking in you (make some kind of "personal investment", if you will), and try again.

    or

    3) Start looking for a new Star Wars toy that might make you happy given the funds (read: qualities) that you already possess.

Sometimes it's difficult to look at our financial situation and realise that we can't afford what we want. And sometimes it just seems safer to pine over what we can't afford. That way we don't have to spend any money at all.

Make of this analogy what you will.

That's excellent use of metaphors Otter ;)

Seriously man, I like your style :p

Continuing in that vein, Anita was my own version of Palpy and now I just have to find Leia/Amidala

Hmm let's just say that my chances of getting aforementioned girl/geek girl/ HP/LOTR/SW female have suddenly and dramatically, exponentially incresed ;)

Don't ask me why, just do it :p

Umm, heck but do I actually want a partner :p

Ohh I'm so capricious in nature, it's kinda good being single sometimes :p

    Otter, that metaphor was fantastic. Excellent job finding something that the people around here will understand. 8-}

So did ya vote at the QUT elections man???
Nope. Not even for the party that tried to bribe people with $30 vouchers if they won.

    Too right Otter..

    Also:

You are afraid to buy the Republic gunship because you are afraid that it is flammable or has sharp bits on it that could cause injury to you :p

    Or..

You're afraid someone will steal your Republic Gunship ;)
