And if so, how long do you sleep at night?

    Well, I'm reckoning, yes.
But I thought I'd ask rather than assume. ;)

So is it a real pain in the backside?

I mean, I can (and often do) survive on five hours sleep a night, but over a protracted period of time it starts to affect the way I work and brings my energy levels down.

I only got about three hours kip last night and didn't sleep great, so I was just wondering how it affects you, or whether it's something you've got used to.

Ive had sleep problems for maybe 10 years now.

When i was at school (aged 12-18) I usually went to sleep at 2am-4am, and woke up 6am to 7am
I often stay awake for 24-36 hours.
However once a month i seem to catch up with all my sleep and have a 15 hours sleep.

    fun times

I still find it hard to sleep before 3am, no matter how early i wake up that day.

Insomnia, for me, didn't really start out as insomnia. It was just due to before and after school activities, that coupled with homework/studying and social things. It meant I had to cut something out. Sleep got cut.

I'd adjusted my body to that type of schedule, for so long, that it still goes by those standards.

Like db though, I do have days were I just have to re-energize and sleep for a way longer period than most people would.
