well, if you were to mastermind a plan to place sleeper-murderers all across the united states who would, on cue, commit mass shootings in order to draw support for a plan of gun prohibition... and one of the arguments was that its much easier to achieve fatalities with a gun than other implements...then you would probably want at least one of the Subjects to use a knife as his weapon of mayhem in order to provide an object lesson on this point by achieving many woundings but no fatalities...

i get that it's just kind of how we roll, and that the kid was sort of arrogantly espousing ridiculous views in a way that was begging to be mocked. but i don't know. at this point i'm picturing a saturday night live sketch where a group of bullies picks on a kid in the playground until he runs off choking back tears, and then we cut to hours later, the sun has gone down and the bullies are still on the playground thinking of insults and high fiving each other for their "sick burns".
