July Event/Meeting

OK, as it is already late in June and we did have a group activity earlier this month, I thought we should start discussing what we would like to do in July.

A few possibilities are just a normal meeting at a restaurant/coffee shop to discuss some group business and then whatever we want, or a cookout/picnic, or even going to see a Lancaster Barnstormers baseball game.

Of course, we could have a meeting in my basement and we can hang drywall, paint, frame a door, and lay wood flooring. Anyone interested?

To start the discussion about dates, I will not be available the July 4th weekend or the 16th-17th weekend. Everything else during the month looks ok.

 

Sunday the 24th would be nice

Well, you've made the first few steps. You are posting regularly, you introduced yourself on the Introduction thread, and you are acting in a good and mature manner.

The last part is to attend an official event/meeting of the FF.

I should be able to do the 24th, though I will likely have my daughter along.

So... the 24th is semi-official, what are the thoughts on location?

 

The 24th is fine with me to. Now for a meeting place we could all try for york again but any place is fine with me.

 

I'm not sure, but I think there's a comic con in Harrisburg on the 24th. I saw a flyer for it at a comic book store, I will have to check back and make sure of the date. It would be pretty cool to meet there, even though I'm sure there will be little to no Star Wars stuff.

 

I'd be willing to participate in a meeting.As for the Barnstormers game,or a pinic/BBQ idea:i'm all for it.But anywhere else would work too.It would be better to keep it inexpensive.

Time for the 24th would have to be 2PM or later, and I need to find someone to watch my daughter soon to lock anything in.

 

24th is not going to work for me now. My wife's b-day is the next day and well...you know if your married.....lol

 

AHH im sorry youll have to count me out of the meeting. I forgot about my divisional swim meet on the 24th and the next day is the allstar meet and then the next saturday midcaps meet.....

Yes def. in the evening...somewhere? Sure why not a dinner meething somewhere? Or if anyone can think of something else.

 

Im not sure ill be able to make it to the july meeting. Ill have to be in hershey at 7:30 the next morning for the final championship.

August? AHH the summer is almost over and back to school.....

 

Almost over?!? It's just the middle of July!!! I would love to have the next month and a half off!

If we can get more than 2 people to agree to meet next Friday, we can call it an official meeting/event, but if not we can start putting the plans together for August.

Is there anything anyone wants to do on Friday night? Just brainstorming ideas: bowling, laser tag, minor league ballgame?

 

Don't even go there...I have to drive school kids.. Thats what I get for having my CDL-B with School bus and Passenger endorsements...
