The boss said he has a wedding to go to on the 19th. I should be good for the 26th.

I haven't met anyone yet who is in any way snobbish in this forum.

Check some of the older meeting threads, you'll find information about when and where we meet. It never changes. Stagg's Head - 6pm ish

 

Snoobish? Over worked and underpaid yes but "Snoobish" Never! New members are always welcome. Give it a try. Back to work.

Sorry to hear that. Is there any chance you can do the 26th? There's a chance I make it that day.

 

I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. Too much busy summer stuff with the family.

 

Looks like I might not be able to make this one as well, but I can hope. Are ya'll still on for the 26th? Maybe I'll squeeze in one drink and some potatoe wedges! David, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to make the Friday midnight toy release either. I was looking forward to wearing the armor, but I don't land until 10 that night. Wassup ErikST!

As a side off-topic note:
I just got a new PC (Vista system) and for some goofy reason I can not get to this board from that PC ... but I can from work. Does anyone know why a new home PC would block a website (could it be my spyware program blocking it)?

 

It looks like some poeple will be going on the 26th. Good! I'll see about making it out.

Danpa_Wamem, I was also having that same problem with this site on my Dell laptop. It had something to do with the ads being served from adserver.ign.com. I remeber I was able to fix the problem, but I can't remember what it was right now. I'll try to look for more info and let you know.

 

I also just got a new PC with Vista and had the same problem.

Is it a Dell? I went into remove programs and there is a Dell something that I removed which corrected the problem. I can't remember what specifically it was...there were several Dell entries and I removed them all.

 

My PC is a Gateway (not sure if Dell bought them out). That info "adserver.ign.com" is what comes up when I try to get into the site. I'll see what I can find and mess around with the setup some. Thanks.

 

Looks like I will be there about 6.30 with my Sev bucket.I have to stop by my neibors birthday party for a few minutes.

One day i will make this meeting...... but my cursed metal body will be on a plane bound for Alaska on tomorrow. Drink a pitcher for me... and for the record Jar Jar Binks makes the Ewoks look like F*&#in' SHAFT!!!!!

Did you get this figured out?

If you haven't, go to the control panel - programs - uninstall a program and see if you have 'browser address error redirector' installed.

If you do I think that is what is causing the problem. I removed mine and problem solved.

 

I think Jeff is right about this. That sounds like what I had to do. I tried to do some research for this issue on my laptop (hoping I had saved a favorite or something), but I couldn't find anything. So this is worth a try.

I'll be there tonight. Probably between 6 and 6:30. Does anyone have the new BMF Millennium Falcon they can bring to the meeting?

And skoedaddy, I will drink in honor of your cursed metal body. Hopefully you can come to our next meeting and share some JarJar bashing with us. I'm always up for that.
