It's summertime, and the livin' is easy...Welcome to the July New Stories Index for the Before the Saga Board!

This Index will be updated daily with new fanfiction stories from this board, and at the end of the month all of these stories will be combined to make a master list, along with fics from both The Saga and Beyond the Saga Boards. So put on your shades, pull up a chair, and enjoy some great summer reading!

I will be maintaining this index. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a Private Message. I will try to locate new stories every day, but you're welcome to send me the info for your fic through PM.

OC - original (author-originated) characters

vignette - a one-post story, especially a single scene

Title: Betrayel, Hunger, Pain I: Fall of the Five Lords

Timeframe: Mandalorian Wars
Characters: Krynda Draay, Zayne Carrick, Alek "Squint", Ralik Revan, Mace Malak, Alana Shanow, Arren Kae, and a bunch of other people including OCs.
Genre: Angst/Action-Adventure/Drama
Disclaimer: All star wars belongs to Lucas, all OCs belong to me.
Notes: What happens to these (already created)characters is only a theory of mine that may be a theory of others as well.
This is the first of a series of books that span from the Mandalorian Wars to post-KotOR 2. Some things that are canon are sort of twisted in the story and the prologue is something that was seen in a comic but I changed it a bit.
I had another Fic going but I was not consistent in updates and lost some chapters so I am going to show you this other fic that I have, I like this better anyway.

Title: Infinite Legacy
Author: darth_grievous1
Timeframe: KotOR era - approximately four years after the end of KotOR 2, so nine years after the original.
Characters: Revan, the Jedi Exile, Carth Onasi, Bastila Shan, Mira Jasra (yeah, Mira from KotOR 2), Atton Rand, Visas Marr, and several (quite a few, actually) OCs.
Genre: Action/Adventure, romance, some AU elements.
Summary: Set nine years after the end of the original KotOR game, the Sith have joined forces with another, far more dangerous race in the Unknown Regions. Together, they will bring chaos to the galaxy, bringing heroes from the past together with the heroes of the future, in a struggle to save the Republic once again.
Notes: This story partially follows the established canon, however, there are several AU elements, such as some minor alterations to the Jedi Code, and such. Some details in the opening chapter are intentionally vague, however, those who have played the original KotOR game will pick up on several of the details immediately.

Title: Martyrdom

Timeframe: KOTOR, circa 3,970 BBY. The Mandalorian Wars. Specifically, this takes place after the start of the Mandalorian attacks on the Outer Rim, but before the Republic and the rogue Jedi under Revan become involved (the timespan between those two events being around 13 years).
Genre: drama, vignette
Disclaimer: I claim ownership only of the messy sentence structures, poor characterisation and ill-conceived plot. Everything else belongs to Mr. George Lucas.
Summary: A suicide bomber on his way to his target contemplates the action he is about to undertake.
Author's Notes: The first and third paragraphs contain extracts/paraphrasings of lines from the 'Martyrdom video' of Mohammad Sidique Khan, one of the home-grown suicide bombers who attacked London on July 7th 2005.

Notes: Atton/Exile is really more my thing as KotOR II pairings go, but this just came to me as I was playing through the Dxun section of the game yesterday. So here it is. The datapad, by the way, and the text on it, are from the game. I suppose this version of the Exile could be the same one as the one in my other KotOR II fic, but I left her specific identity vague on purpose--I wanted her to be just Bao-Dur's General, not a specific model of the character.

Author's Note: It's been so long since I've written anything solo, that I decided to try my hand at it again. This story's been on the back burner for a bit and I decided to dust it off and see about writing it. I've never done anything by myself before except vignettes and I'm trying to reach my new year's resolution goal of writing a story by myself instead of taking comfort in yet another collaboration I hope you enjoy this story Thanks goes to DarthIshtar for the title.

I am posting it to motivate me. Fanfiction was a new experience for me when I started this and in re-reading there are parts that make me cringe but parts I still enjoy, so hopefully you will too.
I apologize for the title but I was new and did not realize how many Path?s there were, and you can?t really rename your children (or can you?) .
