Wash, DC June Meeting Thingy.

Well, we've come up with a meeting plan for the month of June.

Noon
Sunday June 25
Great Falls Park, Virginia
Meet at the Visitors Center/Concession Stand/Restroom area.

This is not a big fancy picnic, just a time to hang out and do fun stuff. Bring lunch, drinks, hiking shoes, frisbees, blankets, cameras whatever you'd like to have.

It costs $3 per car to enter the park, or if you go to Riverbend Park, you can walk down for free, I hear. Additional info on the park can be found here:

Incidentally, we ought to have a rain plan just in case, well, it rains. Any ideas? Maybe a nice restaurant?

 

What's around there? Or shall we go somewhere else? Bowling?

 

Erm, I had a feeling someone would ask me that, LOL. There are a number of restaurants in GF we could descend upon. Or there's always the libraray .

Bowling sounds fun, or how about Tyson's?

If we're desperate maybe my place, though I think Kory would kill me. "Oh my God we haven't cleaned enough!" I can see him signing that now.

 

Or, we hike in the rain. I mean, deer do it. Just no climbing on the rocks.

 

But my fried chicken will get soggy!

 

Why not just meet at my place and we can go from here. That way we can opt out of Great Falls if its raining and make alternate plans while we sit dry in my living room.

Our little girl arrived Monday night. We are having a blast and she is fantastic. She's totally cute and smart and independent. Unfortunately we have plans with the larger group of host families Sunday, so we can't make it. I hope we can make the dinner in July! Have fun for us and we'll see y'all soon!

 

I'm up for meeting at your place as long as Kory won't get too upset. I guess I won't buy the chicken in advance. The weather forcast is calling for scattered thunderstorms all weekend /sigh.

 

Kory said he's fine with it, I just have to tidy up a little. So that's two votes for my place,LOL.

Who is coming? Can we get a count of hands? I don't want anyone left out.

I wouldn't mind pooch. I'd like Zera and Bear to meet, but since we're up in the air about what we're ultimately doing, I guess better not. I guess if we end up going to the park maybe you can swing by and pick Bear up?
