Jupiter Ascending, Pluto Nash ($7,103,973 worldwide gross), Mars needs Moms ($39 million worldwide gross)... The lesson here is; don't include the name of a planet in your movie title (and yes Pluto is a planet, daggumit! My 6th grade science book said so).

So, every theatre in my state apparently have no morning or afternoon showings. They are all in the evening and I can't really do evening shows. [face_dunno]

I have half a mind to see this and tune out with my iPod set to Star Wars.

If I can get it on Redbox for $1.50 in a few months, I'll watch it and MST the hell out of it. If I have nothing else to do.

The description looks like nothing I'd be interested in. Whoever said it was "latter-day George Lucas"--that fit the description, only I'd add "the worst of latter-day George Lucas."

That is more than you can say about most movies.

    Watched it last night.

I have to say it's embarrasing at best, and oddly, made me feel for a couple hours what Star Wars detractors must feel like when they are in a situation in wich can't avoid watching let's say, AOTC [I love the prequels by the way, but understand and acept their failures].

Also love Mila Kunis, but this movie is too much rubbish to handle at once.

I kinda like how crazy this movie is. It's definitely unhinged and really different. Does it exactly work constantly? No. It cribs from The Matrix and Star Wars and even Dolf Lundren's Masters of the Universe a bit too freely. And way too many scenes of people jabbering about stuff that happened eons ago. But I admire it's moxy and the action is fairly decent. Also the scene in the bureaucratic hell is pretty fun.

    Went and saw this today.

Jupiter's passivity as a character would make Anastasia Steele blush.

She does kick the main villain to death, give the gal that. At least I'm pretty sure she did.

So I wanted to watch it this weekend - after reading all this, I might reconsider... [face_worried]
