I'm still convinced that the full-grown Dilophosaurus isn't really in this film and LEGO is lying their asses off again to sell toys.



They've developed a habit for that sort of thing.

This movie is still on my short "must see in theater" list for 2015 movies. But at the same time, my enthusiasm is a bit lessened by some concerns I have about how good it will actually be... hmm.

 

the movie trailers just make me feel sorry for everyone involved. It's one thing when Paranormal 5 turns out to be dumb, but when a high budget film like this builds all the dumb dials to go to 11, it's so much more humiliating.

 

Well, you're welcome to your opinion, but personally I think what we've seen so far has actually indicated that while this movie won't live up to the original, it will still be head and shoulders above the previous two sequels.

Granted, I've been wrong about this kind of thing before....but that's only because certain parties turned out to be flat-out lying about their product.

 

There's going to be a new clip of the movie to be shown today at 11PM ET on MTV

 

Everything looks good to me so far, the clip released yesterday gives me more hope that Chris Pratt can be a serious actor.

The only thing I haven't liked so far is the scene from the teaser trailer where they come open a clearing with several sauropods dead on the ground and Owen declares that Indominus Rex is "killing for sport". I have no problem with the I-rex killing for no reason, but it's not believable that he would have been able to kill 4 large sauropods in a single clearing like that. The herd would have certainly stampeded at the first sign of danger, there's no way 4 of them would be killed inside the radius depicted.

 

So very very dumb and so very very humiliating for Chris Pratt. I know he and his trained circus velociraptors will land on their feet, but I'm calling this as one of the big budget flops of summer 2015.
