Just a note about advertising IGN on the boards.

As you may have noticed, there are many IGN advertisements on the boards. IGN posts articles/media with nudity, profanity, and discussion of things that cannot be discussed here. Just thought I'd let you know.

I actually do contribute to the boards financially.

IGN does what they want, they don't have the same standars or rules as we do. Whenever we find an advertisment that pops up here with naughty things on it, we tell them to take it off our board and they do.

Look, I wasn't saying TFN should break away from IGN...I was just saying TFN should be aware of the fact that although they ordered PG only ads from IGN, the content advertised on the ads is far from PG. That is all. And I understand TFN really can't do anything about this.

No not at all, I'm fully aware of the differences in whats allowed and whats not on these boards and the IGN boards (I've been banned for posting content here that was posted on the IGN boards by IGN staff). I'm not stupid enough to say that we should have the same rules as them.

 

IGN basically pays to keep these board operational. Also, IGN has control over what they post. They can post some cursing or whatever, because they can look at everything on a case-by-case basis.

Stop trying to find a double standard everywhere, and go back to discussing Star Wars, or whatever else you do here.

Yeah, we have no control over what they do before they do it, only after the fact can we do something.

I don't think they could handle our traffic. We could use phpBB or UBB, but those don't sound that great either.

 

I think Snowboards are great. It has lots of great features and rarely breaks down.

I just have one more thing to say. If I decided to give TFN a million dollars to pay for operational costs under the condition that they post porn on their frontpage would they do it?
