So, this is your first message board? Good choice. I would suggest looking at the Glossary for Newbies. The boards are huge and can be quite intimidating, so if you have any questions feel free to PM me.

This was also my first message board and I joined it when I was 19 years old. This is still the only message board I actively post on (although I am registered at starwars.com just for the hyperspace chats they do) This is the best forum community on the net. A couple quick words of advice:

As time goes on, there may be other users that will make you angry. Although these boards are deemed family friendly and the mods do a darn good job at keeping it that way, you will inevitably come into conflict with another user at some point or other during your time here. It happens to everyone. Just make sure you keep your posts clean. It's better to outsmart your opponent with discussion or by not replying at all than to flame the other person back. And of course, if you get the feeling another user is flaming you, contact your nearest neighborhood moderator for assistance. Just keep everything in check, keep to the family friendly atmosphere these boards promote, and you'll do great.
