So NV Just Felt Like Bragging

So I recently had a birthday and mentioned that I was wanting to build myself a computer. After all was said and done I had about $1000 to play with. So I'm building this computer now. Its a P4 3.0Ghz, 1GB PC3200 HyperX DDR RAM, 52x CDRW drive, 12x DVD-R, 200GB 7200rpm UATA drive, & 5.1 digital sound card all put into a Diabolic Minotaur case w/500w power supply. I'm keeping my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro card to use. I also bought some games to "test" out the new PC. I still have some left over that I'm applying to a flat screen monitor. So now I have that initial gotta tell someone excitement out.

Seriously, though, that's a sweet machine you're putting together. I haven't put one together in a while, but when I do, it'll be one of the new AthlonFX chips. I'm an AMD convert, what can I say? To tell you the truth, I don't think I've ever purchased an Intel machine. I have one, but it's a hand-me-down.

Again, though, nice rig and I am seriously jealous. What games are you going to "test" with?

 

blast, i built my own about a year and a half ago. I have been upgrading it slowly and its decent.
