This one is pretty good too.

Definitions of Jedi, and other terms.....
(This Information is part of what we call the Jedi Order Documentation)

    Defining Jedi:
This has been debated since the very conception of the online groups. In essence they are divided into the Dark, Light, Shadow, and Gray.
    Jedi:
The overall term Jedi, could be used to describe one that studies and learns to manipulate the Force. Of course everyone uses the Force, just by living, but few learn to manipulate it

    Light Jedi:
The Light Jedi are servents, they help others, even if they have to put themselves out. They prefer to help others in anyway they can. The Jedi United is geared towards training Light Jedi.

    Dark Jedi:
The Dark Jedi, use any power gained to get rather than give. Some are violent in this persuit, but not all.

    Gray or Grey Jedi:
The Gray Jedi are like a mix of light and dark, they use powers gained to help others, but see nothing wrong with helping themselves as well.

    Shadow Jedi:
The Shadow Jedi draw from Taoist and Ninpo principles, and believe in following the will of the Force, always seeking a balance.

    Different types of Light Jedi:
Most Light Jedi seem to fall into one of five major classes, "Guardian, Healer, Philosopher, Historian, or just Jedi".

    Guardian:
These Jedi are like the warrior diplomats that are seen in the movies, always trying for peace, but trained to fight.
    Healers:
These Jedi have devoted themselves to the empathic art of healing, and often make good councilors.
    Philosophers:
These Jedi study the Force for disturbances, or new wisdom. A movie example could be Yoda.
    Historian:
These Jedi collect our history and aid the teachers with lessons. A good example would be Opie Wan and his Jedi Resource Center.
    Jedi:
Someone who has not chosen to specialize in any area of study, or to be balanced on all area's like a Guardian. A person in the Jedi field would simply study what they needed to to pass the JEE, and whatever else they felt moved to study.
    Clause:
Regarding the use of Titles, and types. A Jedi Knight whether they be a guardian, healer, or just Jedi, would still be a Jedi Knight. In their Signature on Ezboard, or sites, they may use Jedi Knight, Guardian, or Jedi Knight, Healer. But if they are just a plain Jedi, they should not put, Jedi Knight, Jedi. This is because they have chosen not to specialize, the other titles are for those specializing in a field of study, like a post-graduate degree of sorts.

Okay, it would seem that these are the same but they'll probably be a little different since it's two different versions adapted them from the WE version of the RPG. Nevertheless, very cool resources.

I appreciate that, Historian, but as a point of conjecture, I totally disagree with the Shadow Jedi ideal.....as any true Taoist can tell you, they tend heavily toward peace, and the their 'balance' is firmly based in it. The philosphy they follow is a balance of inner peace versus outer chaos, which has very little to do with the idea of the Force. This is where many cannot differentiate between a religion and the reality of existence. The Force is described by most writers as that which binds the galaxy together....well, since most beings and creatures as we know it are caught in the never-ending cycle of life and death, it is hardly at peace....it is contiguous and omnipotent in it's construct, and is balanced only in the number of lives lost to those gained and those who survive on. We kill millions of lifeforms everyday to survive, and to even just make our own lives more bareable....so do Taoists. Be aware that you can experience inner peace all you want, but you must still consume to survive, and that entails ending something's existence, and that is the way and the balance of the Force.

Actually, they are far too closed-minded for me. They confuse politics and religion with the reality of existence, and they are often closed to detailed debate. But I shall impose on my new comrades no further....it is something to be left to the Senate Floor.
