I decided to try out this fiction thing, and see if I'm any good at it.

Rosac was starting to get annoyed with his new co-worker. Ever since his last partner quit, he was stuck with this idiot who couldn?t find his way out of a paper box. He was also terrible at making conversation.

?Just shut up already, Johnny??

?I just wanted to know-?

?I just told you to shut up! Now, do it!?

The rest of the trip up was quiet as they hauled the crate several stories.

While driving back to the USPS station to punch out, Rosac turned on the holonet, to see what was happing in the war.

?-Ter a terrible defeat at Caamas, the Galactic alliance has issued an official surrender, to which Imperial Grand Admiral Morlish Veed has agreed. All GA military forces have been ordered to stand down to all Imperial forces as they occupy the new imperial Capital of Coruscant.?, The reporter said with obvious gloom.

?Emperor Fel has assured all citizens that their lives will not be drastically changed and they should go about their usual business with calm minds.?

Rosac and Johnny were both dumbstruck.

The Empire? How could this happen?

Rosac pulled his speeder over, trying to fully process what he had just heard.

?What does this mean boss?? , Johnny asked, obviously worried.

?I? I don?t know?? He replied, ?Let?s get back to the station??


After they had punched out and were on their way out to the lot, Johnny couldn?t help but look up.

?Boss, look! Star destroyers!?

Rosac looked up, only to see a fleet of Pellaeon-class star destroyers filling the sky. He could see troop transports entering the atmosphere, filled with hundreds of stormtroopers ready to kill at a moments notice.

?We?re going to have to do something about this??

Johnny looked at him and nodded. ?I gotch? ya boss.?
