    How much does the cheapest camera cost, simmiliar to the one in the banner on this forum? That one looks awesome :) (well better than a HITACHI DIGI-8 hand camera ;))

    EDIT: It depends on many things, but a give me a price range.

    1) The camera on the banner is a Canon XL-1S

    2) Of COURSE it is better than a HI-8!

    3) XL-1S cameras cost about $3300

    4) I want one!

    Thats an XL1s...and it's not even close to the cheapest camera. Unless $3000-$5000 is your starting price.

    I'm thinking about getting a Canon ZR-40 or so model.

    It doesn't have to be exactly that camera - I am talking about that type; a shoulder camera or what the heck it's called...

    Shoulder type cameras are generally more expensive than handheld models. Go to B&H Photo Video to see prices for different cameras.
