JY-VS200 Help

I just saw a great deal for a JVC JY-VS200. What do you guys think of this camera or do any of you have any information on it? The camera I regularly use is my friends since I can't afford an XL1:S like he can... but I've been wanting a good camera... a litle less quality than the XL1 maybe... would this be a good camera for me? Does anyone here own one? Do I have to tune in next week to find out?

 

I don't know about you, but if you can afford a Canon GL2, i'd say go for that. I personally use the GL1 (and i hear the image quality compared with the standard XL1s lens is about the same). So, with the GL2's improvements, it's like the GL1/XL1s hybrid.

 

Yea I decided to go for the Panasonic AG DVC10...while we're on the subject... what does IEEE 1394 4-pin x 1? I mean... I know it means that it works with fire wire but does the 4-pin thing mean anything?

 

I believe it's pretty much the standard for firewire MiniDV interface. Certainly nothing unusual.

(At least it wasn't on my AGDVC10 ...)
