LAJ_FETT said I should post these over here. I have been drawing since I can remember. My wife and I have started a business doing murals. Here's some of the ones i've done in my sons room. I will post more as I finish them. We are going to have one wall nothing but SW characters. Hope you like.

I'm going to redue Yoda and do Obi-wan behind him. I will post new pics when that time comes.
    Feedback is welcome.

Updated pics. Yoda (work in progress). Just wanted to know thoughts on this one.

Pic of yoda and Obi-wan. Both aren't finished yet.

Thanks, as the mural gets bigger I will post more pics. I plan on doing an E2 clonetrooper and an E3 clonetrooper behind Vader to the left of the Stormtrooper soon.

Hello wise-bi-wan and welcome to the Fan Art forum (and forgive my tardiness in dropping in!)! Fantastic job on the murals!! =D= The accuracy in look and likeness is stunning, particularly on C-3PO--his "shiny-ness" is just perfect! The additional trooper you added is also amazing--it looks just photographic! And I totally agree with academygrad88 here: your son is one lucky kid! I'd like to have these on my walls! :D Great great work--thanks for sharing it here, and we'll look forward to seeing some more! Again--welcome!

I had to put them on hold till I can get out and purchase some more paint. It's hard to get the color right on the two new ones i'm working on. I don't have much paint left.

"It's not too hard, just takes alot of time."

    **falls on the floor laughing**

Maybe it's not hard for you, wise-bi-wan! ;) :D For most of us, getting any sort of likeness is a tortuous process, even on 9"x12" paper! To get such beautiful results in such a large format would indeed be hard--I know it would for me, anyway!

I love Obi Wan and Yoda--they both look just great so far. Yoda's face and the way you've done the light on him is especially wonderful. I will definitely be looking forward to seeing how these progress (and your son must do handsprings whenever you start a new character--I'll bet he's so excited!)!

It's been awhile but I have been very busy with work.[face_tired] I gave Yoda a green wash to get his skin to look right. I'm about to tackle Obi-wan. He might be a little tougher than the rest of them.

    I will update pics soon.

    Wow!

The lighting on both gives them such a real feel. I bet it'll look breathtakingly-real if a little sunlight shines on them.

    Well done!

Thanks guys.[:D] Obi-wan was a pain in the *@# to do.:D I'm pleased with the outcome of these two. Just need to finish up Yoda's tunic and he will be complete. I was so nervous diving into the Obi-wan painting. It was just so tough to get the skin to look right. The likeness was the hardest part. Now that I have finished him, and know I can do it, either Anakin or Luke will be next. It took so long to finish off Obi-wan that I don't know when the next character will be complete. Of course I will update as I go. Maybe this time I will take pics of the whole process. Sketch to painting. [face_peace] after all this is just practice for future jobs I do in other homes or businesses.[face_praying]

    lol

I take it this isn't the Allen Iverson view of "practice." You can call it what you want-- these're eye-pleasingly gorgeous.

Out of curiousity, how long did these two take off-and-on? Do you set any daily goals when you sit down one day to work on a painting?

Just noticed the picture links aren't working anymore. I can't even edit my own topic. Well I had to change my name to Wizewan...aka(Wise-bi-wan) because I forgot my password etc, etc. To answer the question above/\. Each character has it's own time frame. I've come to discover that Humans will be harder, or anything else that is organic. That is if you want it to look lifelike. Average time is between 2 to 4 hrs each.

I do have a question and didn't know if I should create a new thread or not, so here it goes.

I have been trying to get my personal business of "painting murals" going and I just can't seem to get the ball rolling on this. I am a restaurant manager 5 days out of the 7 day week. I don't have much time to Market my business, and don't have the $ to buy and have someone design me a website. It seems If you don't have a website, you don't have a business. I just know if I could get started that I could make alot of famillies happy with my work. By the looks of the artwork in this thread, I know some of you probably own your own business. I'm just looking for some starting pointers, tips. You can PM me if you'd like.

    Please help....[face_batting]
