Its hinted in the latest one that Kanan and Hera aren't officially couple yet, despite how they act towards one another.

Has anyone here seen the interview with Freddie Prinze Jr. on Collider Jedi Council? He hints very heavily that Kanan will be put through a lot of emotional distress, loss, and tragedy at the end of the season and randomly mentions Hera in his long explanation. So basically saying that something will happen between them, my guess is that Hera might not make it out of season 2.

 

Eh, I don't think she'll die in this one.

 

I don't know, FPJ was being pretty clear.

 

That sucks... I was looking forward to some serious ship stories..

Especially by killing off Hera?

 

It might mean that we actually see the inquisitors doing something. Imagine if Filoni goes all George RR and everyone is dead by ANH Ezra, Sabine, Zeb, Visago, Hondo, Kanan, Rex & Ashoka. It might scar some children but theyd sure take the Empire seriously.

 

I'd be down with the inquisitors killing someone but not Hera.

 

I think Hera will have a decent amount of spotlight in this season, then she will be gone, but her presence within the ghost crew will never fade. FPJ mentioned that Kanan's arc for the season would be becoming a full fledged jedi night and that he still has one more jedi trial left to go through. I'm guessing Hera's death or sacrifice would push him along this path.

 

This is the trial of flesh that FPJ was referring to I assume.

 

Truthfully... I don't see this show ending any other way unless both Kanan and Ezra like quit the force or something like that.
In regards to Hera, I think she has one more season in her, but it wouldn't surprise me if she's... gone by the end of this season.

 

If this turns out to be true, then I guess there's only one female character on 's mind.

 

If we are losing Hera, I guess my question is how it will affect the crew of the Ghost. Kanan it would be one of the trials I guess. Sabine a loss of a confidant and trusted ally. Zeb I don't know. Chopper I don't know. Ezra, loss of a mother figure in his life.

The only problem is that Hera provides the structure that the crew needs to really function as a family in being a bit of a mother figure and rely on each other as a team. I don't really see anyone else at the moment that can fill that void. Zeb is very much that crazy fun uncle that loves to break rules. Kanan has a hard enough time finding the strength within himself, but is the most likely one to fill the role if his character becomes stronger. Sabine and Ezra are too young to function as a leader for the group. And well, Chopper is not really an option.

 

Yep no one in the Crew is very leaderish other then Hera, so maybe if she does die the ghost crew split.
