I need numbers for this, so far only one confirmation. Details:

Address: 43 Laughton Way, Leeming
Saturday 29th, 12 midday till 7pm.

Bring food and drink, money if you can for pizza order later in the day, PC (duh) and cables, hubs, etc. plus DVD's/PS2 games if you can.

At least 5 are needed, around 10 max (room isn't a big thing at my house).

I just realised, If i intend to leech, I really need to free up some space on my HDDs

Hmm, I dont think I have any twisted pair cable either... I have bought some, but i have to get to my supplier to pick it up before sat...

 

OK, peoples, I have gone and done one of the big classic don'ts around computers...... don't leave drinks near them......and so therefore I am in a spot of strife..... I spilt about half a glass of water over my optical mouse, and now the primary mouse button is shafted. So unless I can find a replacement by the weekend, or unless I can borrow one off someone for the LAN, I will only really be able to leech, gaming is kind of out. But If I am only there to share files, people should still be happy..... I have over 1400 mp3 at the moment, and over 8gigs of full movies and heaps of other stuff

I do have a spare mouse, not optical though (wish it was) so you could use that if needed.

Ok, so far 3 confirmed (4 including me). 1 more and the show is on the road.

 

I would be going if it wasn't for the fact that I'm leaving to spend 2 months in the USA and Costa Rica tomorrow. Now that makes two lans I'll be missing (this and WALAN). But I guess I'll be making up for it by popping my head in at QuakeCon while I'm in that part of the world.

 

I won't be there. I can lend you an optical mouse DS if you're really stuck, but you'd need to come out here to pick it up and drop it off.

I'll check out costs for trestle tables to hire, if you have room, they're about the easiest thing to set up a lan on

 

My oldies have a couple of tressle tables if we want, but someone will have to pick them up, coz they wont fit in the car I will be using.......

I just got paid today so now I can get my 120gb drive with 8mb cache, YAY! Its all business related of course thou With video you need heaps of space.

 

I waaaaant one!!! Actually, how sweet would it be to RAID 2 of them together... arf arf arf.. 240gbs and a 16mb cache... hahahaha
