Not bad, needs some DOF. The grass needs to be more than just a texture map. Needs more trees, lighting needs to be a little more direct and less global. But besides that it's a good start.

Yes, I agree with darthviper. I think there should be a lot of giant trees in a Kashyyyk picture...
The mountains are too sharp, too. I'd try to make them not too high, and a little smoother.

I guess that tree took a lot of time to render... To add a lot more, try rendering different trees and then put the images instead of 3D models for the ones in the background.

    Good start ;)

Looks like some sorta low-end POV image. The textures and rendering quality are pretty poor. Did you use some low-end landscape generator or did you try to make all of this from scratch in a 3D app? If you are using a land-gen there are some really good ones out there that are really cheap, even free ones.

Okay, this pic is a little smaller, but I fixed some of the stuff you guys said. I think the lighting is better this time, I added more trees, I smoothed out the mountains and didn't make them as steep. And I touched up the grass a little bit.

    And I'm using Vue 5.

The grass still doesn't look that great. It looks more like video game graphics than an animation program. Perhaps there are some good Vue tutorials out there?

Nice improvement. It's better than the first one.

    Keep working on it! :)

this grass came out a little better, but it needs 2 b anti-aliased.

Reminds me of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

More trees, less pointy mountains, different angle, better rendering.

This doesn't remind me of Kashyyyk, but some fantasy video game.

Hard to tell because of the size of the picture, but it's pretty good. Indeed, it doesn't remind me of Kashyyk, but just forest and mountain. You need one of these giant trees

Looks good. I agree with with everyone though. Bigger trees maybe some water. How about putting something in there to give off some scale?
