"When Byron Crystal sent his email notice to Bantha Tracks to enter the contest on July 5, he had already seen Sith 58 times, and was headed out to view it for the 59th soon after he hit the "send" button. During the contest period, which ran from June 10 through July 4, he saw the film 29 times. .... As of this Bantha Tracks edition Crystal is still going every day. He's not sure if he'll keep it up, or taper off his viewings, but he's waiting to decide. With tomorrow's trip to the theater on August 10, he will have watched Revenge of the Sith 100 times."


and... Congratulations to members of the fan group NYLine (New York Line), who gathered the largest group for a viewing -- 36 strong - in our "See Episode III Again" contest.

 

I wonder if Mr. Crystal stayed awake for all 100 viewings? I mean, I LOVE Star Wars, but I've seen every episode so many times, it's easy for me to fall asleep while watching them.

I've only seen ROTS 6 times. I'm really disappointed in myself. I saw AOTC 17 times in the theater. ROTS was released during a busy time in my life, so I didn't get to go out that often, plus it seemed to disappear really quickly. I think the only place still showing it in LA is the Arclight, where I saw it 5 of the 6 times.

 

heh.. the opera scene gets me sleepy... the background music, lack of action, and palpatine's voice put me into a tired lull...
