The Tip Off

.... was Mara's sudden constant craving for cold, frozen treats.

Berrybliss ice cream and frozen pops of different flavors.

She went to the Healers and found out she was pregnant. Luke was thrilled when he found out. He spun her around and whooped with delight.

And Luke was -- captivated in all kinds of ways watching Mara lick the frozen pops. He'd drink her in voraciously, lingering on how her tongue and full lips played over the treat.

She'd catch his thought and his expression and wink.

"That's how we got in this position, I'll have you know, Farmboy." She quipped one time.

"Yes," Luke replied huskily, "And I had a grand time each and every time we ... practiced."

She smirked. "Is that what you call it? You don't come across as an amateur, in the least."

Luke just grinned. She brought out the best in him, that was for sure.

He moved over to her and kissed her lips, savoring the flavor of the cold pop mixed with her own delectable, individual taste. He nipped her lower lip lightly. "I have a feeling you'll turn me on when we're 90+ and I'll be chasing you up the stairs."

"Ha! And I'll still let you catch me." Mara laughed.

I loved their hesitant courting, not wanting to classify it as anything official but falling for each other so crazily anyway And Mara proposing, and the honeymoon and gift and a baby! All perfect! That popcicle scene reminded me of that Jennifer Anderson scene in the movie "Horrible Bosses".

Hooray for L/M finding out about a pregnancy in a happy setting. They deserve that and more!

It wasn't long until they knew they were going to have more than one child. The sonogram showed that very soon, but they were in for a shock, triplets!!! It turned out to be 2 girls and a boy.

Luke was thrilled. They had to make a boy-themed and girl-themed nursery.

Luke took a holostill of Mara with all three cuddled up on her lap and tucked it in a keepsake memento book along with a few locks of Mara's red-gold tresses he'd gotten from a hair-tie she'd worn during a workout to keep her hair out of the way. When he showed her the book, she called him a romantic sap and grinned. He could tell she was secretly pleased.

As for Mara, she loved Luke in daddy!mode. It was surprising how much of a turn-on it was seeing that tender side of him, and so full of joy and love and protectiveness toward these new wee ones.

She felt enveloped in a warm haven of belonging and endless affection.

Men taking care of their babies are one of the sexiest things I can think of.

 

Triplets! Oh boy! I couldn't imagine that. I can barely handle my two boys. I can't believe my grandmother had 20 brothers and sisters. ACK!

Yup, good luck to Luke and Mara! But it's lovely seeing them in Mummy! and Daddy!mode. Wonder how the girls will react to the boy-themed nursery and how the boy will react to the girl-themed nursery.

Oh gosh! Triplets! Love that. All the more time for Luke to be in daddy mode. There is nothing better than a lovely man in daddy mode, but I think it's clear how much I love that So sweet!
