?Ketwol / Lowtek?

OK, I have a SW figure named Ketwol. Somebody told me that there was an old Lucasfilm joke about someone/something named Lowtek, and when they came up with this figure, they named him Ketwol which is Lowtek spelled backwards.

Does anyone know the joke or how they relate to each other?

No it's not.

 

Never heard that one before. However, Ketwol is the same Cantina alien as Melas, they just turned Ketwol's head backwards and gave him a hat. So when you watch the Special Edition you see Melas and Ketwol in place of Lak Sivrak and the Deffel.

 

I never knew that. I posted this in the SWC and nobody knew, so someone told me to try here.

In Decipher's SWCCG there are cards for BOTH Ketwol AND Melas.

I know that Melas replaced Ketwol in the Cantina Special Edition. Whether or not they are same? Who knows. I'll always regard them as separate characters myself.

Not true. Ketwol replaced Lak Sivrak and Melas replaced the Defel. Both Ketwol and Melas are in the special edition.

In my cantina display, I have Ketwol and I made a Melas by turning Ketwol's head backwards.
