I grew up on SNES. But dang, most of those games are too classic for me to disrespect.

I'm an SNES kid, too. I could've had an NES, but my parents were cheap and didn't get me a system 'til the SNES. :p

I think this quote sums up their "intellect"...

One of the retards listed in the article starts playing Tetris; behold his first comment:

Tim: Which button do I press to make the blocks explode?

    Seconds later:

Becky: (...) it would be OK (...) if things blew up or something...

    Still seconds later...

John: Why didn't they blow up?

    No comments indeed...

May I add that the first two, er, specimens used for testing the games share the same last name and the same disturbing "Deliverance banjo kid" look... Too much inbreeding in the family?

As the kids said in Back to the Future 2 about Wild Gunman, "What? You have to use your hands?"

Nevertheless, I used to refuse to walk down any dark corridor in Doom without first shining on the light with a cheat code.

Those bulldog @#$%*! made me flinch in my seat each time.

    Each time!

And that feeling you get, even now, when you run out of power pellets in Pac Man, and those ghosts are closing in on you . . . you run out of room . . . can't escape any longer . . . CHOMP!

I'm so glad I educated my younger brother in good videogames . . . he would have kicked butt at Donkey Kong. Why didn't they play Mario 3, Punch Out, Duck Hunt, or Frogger ?

Well, I can understand their frustration w/ E.T. I remember playing it for hours on end, not know what the heck to do, and getting trapped in pits.

I think their comments were as bold as they were b/c they did the testing with a bunch of other kids, and knew they'd be in a magazine. Kids feed off other kids. If they blind tested them, one kid at a time, the results may have been different.

Light cheat code?! Bah! Everyone knows you're just suppose to fire a rocket down the hall. Lights everything up and kills stuff too :D

I now feel old. Those kids are dumb. they are the kids who go on gamers.com and rate games because its for a certin system. I think they call them "fan boys"

    No profanity.

You feel old? I read that same magazine, in their "10 Years Ago in EGM" segment, I saw a game I loved to play. Clay Fighters.

Whoa whoa whoa, hold it right there. You actually notice your stomach growling when you're playing games? What kind of gamer are you? I've never noticed hunger until I stopped playing a game. If you notice it during the game, the game isn't good enough. :p

Ugh...these kids do an injustice to us classic gamers. I brought my little brother up to respect the classics. He still plays the SNES and NES we have at home.

Absolutely disgusting. These little ***** need to learn some respect.

My 7yo plays our Genesis lots more than he plays the Gamecube. I've actually been on the search for more games for the Genesis(and our Super Nintendo). I've gotten hooked on the classics lately.

Now, if I can just find a top loading Nintendo somewhere(in stock) for less than $100.

I'm a year older than the oldest one of them lot and I have alot of respect for Super Mario bros, Tetris and all the other classics. I had an NES although it was out dated then and I loved it. Them brats should have there PS2s, Xboxs andd GCs taken away and be given a NES each until they learn to respect these classic games. I think I will go and play Super Mario bros right now. Now I have to find my NES and hope it still works.
