I know the feeling, actually - despite the gorgeous day, I too am nearly drifting to sleep at my desk. It was hard getting up this morning!

Though I must confess to some satisfaction at my housemate having to to get up earlier than I for once. HA!

 

Why? I thought he walked to work.

yup rain here. I'm just hoping it's nice in Sydney. I'm heading up there for another week.

Snow is better than rain. It just falls and freezes unless it is melting. Rain falls and then splashes everywhere... you have trouble keeping dry in the rain... in the snow you just need to keep warm. Rain and snow at the same time is the worst it produces slush so as to make you unable to walk anywhere without causing large amounts of splashing.

 

snow you have to shovel, drive in, etc...

it's cold

when it melts it causes clothing and boots to get wet. it's uncomfortable, horrible stuff.

the only good thing I can remember from it snowing in Canada is it slows the mosquitoes down

 

Snow melting does not always cause slush.

I don't drive myself but the people who drove me around in the snow didn't seem to mind it.

it may be cold but so is rain and snow doesn't leave you soaked through.

Winter boots are awesome. Goretex ones moreso. Spray them with waterproofing stuff and not only do you solve the cold problem you also solve the wet problem.

Weather where mosquitoes aren't = the best weather.
