Edmonton King Kong - Saturday, December 17th

I know some of us want to see this one. It comes out next wednesday, but we don't have to do it then (I am willing though).

I don't know if showtimes or tickets are out yet, but we can probably find out.

So who's in and when would be best?

I can do it Wednesday or Thursday, but that's it. I'm busy all weekend (except for early afternoon).

Well we know what my schedule is but hey I can always go on the weekend with whoever wants to

 

I'd be willing to go on saturday or sunday afternoon. just so long as I'm outta there by 6.

 

I'm in for whenever next week.

 

Saturday matinee sounds good.

But then that means I have to get out of bed and in this weather, who wants to do that?

So we're good for a saturday matinee? I might still not be able to make it. I hear this thing's 3 hours long and I gotta be gone by about 6... but I'll try.

I gotta finish my shopping that day so I'm hopign to make it but not sure. Depends what time the show is at

 

It will have to be an afternoon showing otherwise I won't be able to make it.

How does the 1pm show sound? I can't make it for the 5 or 9pm

 

There seems to be a lot of x-mas stuff interfering with the ability to make this much of a group event. Are you sure you didn't want to postpone?

 

Well it doesn't necessarily have to be a group event. I post that I wanna go to a movie and if anyone wants to join me they're welcome to. That's just how I roll. If you guys wanna make it an official 'group' event some other time, then by all means...

 

I want you all to go, then you can tell me if it's worth going to or not. I have a party on Saturday so I wouldn't be able to go anyway but it's on my "might go if others like it" list.

 

Yeah man I don't think I'll be able to make it. With shopping and the dinner the night before I t just aint gonna happen sorry dude

 

Screw it I think I'll just go monday after my christmas shopping.

damnit my connection's slow today

 

This is one of the best movies of the year. Maybe even the best. It has everything in it, and the CGI is blow your mind amazing! You don't think, wow, great graphics, you are totally immersed in the ride. There's a great story line, there were parts where I was covering my eyes and so was the guy next to me because the bugs were so gross, and there were parts where I was crying, and there were parts where I was on the edge of my seat, and the action squences were exhausting! After the scrap with the dinosaurs, I was drained. The people of the island were so creepy! Just when you thought it couldn't get creepier, here comes grandma! Oh, and she has no eyes! Oh, and Andy Serkis has an actual part in the movie where you see him, not CGI Andy. That was really great to see him and he has by far, the worst death. Sorry to ruin that, but you know not everyone lives. This one is a mind blower, Peter Jackson having turned out another piece of find cinema. I will definitely see this one again even though I know I will probably shed some more tears the second time around.

 

Kyla and I will be going to see Kong tomorrow at the downtown theatre. We are not sure what time yet, but maybe someone would want to come?
