    Well, it's official. I logged on today and saw the article at sw.com:

    http://www.starwars.com/movies/other/indy/20080808news.html?page=1

    For anyone interested, here are the DVD specs:

    Disc 1:

    * The Return of a Legend -- The evolution of the new film and a tribute to the legendary hero and his creators.
    * Pre-Production -- Follows Steven Spielberg as he creates animatic sequences, Shia LaBeouf as he learns to swordfight and captures the reunion of filmmakers and cast on the soundstage.

    Disc 2:

    * Production Diary: Making Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -- Join filmmakers, cast and crew for a complete look at the making of the film.
    o Shooting Begins: New Mexico
    o Back To School: New Haven, Connecticut
    o Welcome to the Jungle: Hilo, Hawaii
    o On-Set Action
    o Exploring Akator
    o Wrapping Up!
    * Warrior Makeup
    * The Crystal Skulls
    * Iconic Props
    * The Effects of Indy
    * Adventures in Post Production
    * Closing: Team Indy
    * Pre-Visualization Sequences
    o Area 51 Escape
    o Jungle Chase
    o Ants Attack
    * Galleries
    o The Art Department
    + The Adventure Begins
    + Cemetery and Jungle
    + Akator
    o Stan Winston Studio
    + Corpses, Skeletons & Mummies
    + Aliens & Crystal Skulls
    o Production Photographs
    o Portraits
    o Behind-the-Scenes Photographs

    The specs for the Blu-Ray seem to be the same as the DVD except for a Indiana Jones timeline feature.

    I'm concerned that trailers and tv spots are not listed. Paramount is bad about not including them.

    Blu ray is the way to go for me; Skull should definitely be watched in digital.

    Sweet! That's a *lot* sooner than I expected, wow. Unfortunately I'm going to be out of the country until December. So I guess I'll just have to wait until then. Ah, well. Here's to hoping my parents get it on Blu-Ray so I can see it/hear it as such over Christmas ;)

    I'm really impressed by the fact that most, if not all of the special features on the blu ray are in HD, something that's still very rare on most blu ray releases. I'm still debating if I should buy it when it comes out, wait to get it as a xmas present, or wait even longer for a 4 movie blu ray box set.

    The release is creeping up and I thought I'd give this thread a bump.

    Anyone read reviews for this? I've been out of the loop for a week and I haven't heard anything. I just saw a couple of TV spots and that's it.

    I work at Walmart and I'm so trying to get promo stuff. We have an entire cardboard display that sits on a pallet with toys that most likely won't sellout. They take the cardboard and toss it. Screw that. I got my Clone Wars stuff like that, I just ganked it.

    Aww, you're so lucky. Enjoy it!

    On another note, is Wal-Mart offering any special promotions with the DVD? I know you mentioned a pallet of toys, but I'm not sure if that's part of it or not. I heard something mentioned that Best Buy will be having some kind of Crystal Skull with the DVD and I was just wondering if Wal-Mart will be offering something special as well.

    Thanks! Gotta support my Phillies! :D

    But as soon as the post-season is over, it's back to the norm.

    As for the DVD, I think I decided to pick it up at Wal-Mart. They always seem to have it cheaper and it's more convenient. Plus, I can check out the action figures while I'm there. :p

    I'll be picking up my copy at Target. I'm even going to go by a K-Mart to see if those Lego posters are free for the taking or if your have to purchase the DVD.
