I really think it's quite silly, GG sliced him with lightsabers twice and he simply went to some hibernation? His race also does not have some super regenerate ability like Gen'dai.

Also the clones shot the whole field with their firepower badly to hold off GG, I believe quite a few went to his body.

Real answer: when that episode of the cartoon aired, the Republic comic series had already depicted K'Kruhk alive in stories that took place long after it. Therefore, his apparent death had to be...reinterpreted. The same thing happened with Ventress and Durge, technically.

Durge was still alive at the end of the cartoon though. IIRC they were going to bring him back later but then they just used Grievous instead.

Durge is Gen'Dai, he could regenerate from liquid.

Yeah I think the last time we see him in the cartoon he's pulling himself back together. Still waiting for him to regenerate from falling into that star, though.

Were K'Kruhk from the comics and K'Kruhk from the Tartakovsky series supposed to be the same character or did they just give the Whipid Jedi in the cartoon series the name K'Kruhk?

Apart from that, they also established Whipid go in a sort of trance to heal their bodies, so K'Kruhk could have survived Grievous.
Of course, it is a retcon. Maybe they should have been two entirely different characters?

I'm still amazed TCW hasn't killed him off yet and Filoni point out he was respecting continuity and just doing what he'd watched happen in the original micro-series! :p

K'Krukh is perhaps the only character who can be killed at any point and nobody says that it's a continuity error.

Yes, but not something like being sliced with lightsabers twice and got show by Clones' firepower badly.

"I've been almost killed several times. I'm not dead. I hold no ill will to any who did try to kill me."

K'Kruhk is Whiphid. Compare him to the Whiphid in Jabba's Palace.

Did that one get mauled by GG with lightsabers and got shot with that amount of fire power?

The Clones also said there are only 3 life signs.

You seem to misunderstand the situation--the cartoon messed up. To the extent that his survival is implausible, it was their fault for creating the conflict in the first place. He never had a "comeback", because he hadn't technically left.

K'kruhk is the Jedi Highlander. Decapitation is the only way to kill him.

Star Wars Galaxies featured a "Project Durge", where Imperial scientists were given a sample of a being that was essentially a liquified mess, that began to regenerate itself at a remarkable pace once they started performing repairs of their own. While they were unaware of its origins, the being is heavily implied to be Durge.

That said, I don't know how the kriff you'd recover something once it falls inside a star. If anything, I'd assume that was the one surefire way to kill a Gen'Dai...

Which convenient fits the number of lives we have seen K'Khruhk have.

Whipids are clearly like cats and have several lives. :p

Plus, keep in mind we don't see K'Kruhk's actual injuries in CW, so there's no way to tell the extent of of damage Grievous inflicted. Factor in the retcon-friendly-and-flexible excuse of alien physiology (Grievous struck his equivilent of an appendix, for all we know) with the species healing hibernation and Jedi healing powers and you have a plausible retcon.

How he survived Alderaan by riding that chunk of asteroid to safety, though- that was stretching it, I'll admit.

Deep hibernation, that's the point of it.

Oh, yes, yes! That's it! Have him die in TCW together with A'Sharad, have them both incontrovertibly incinerated on camera, and then have Mr. Chee declare one of his ultimatums that their canonical deaths are in the cartoon!

Then watch Legacy work its way around THAT! :p:p:p:p
