As the rows of white armor marched to the pace of the single dark-robed figure that climbed the steps of the Jedi Temple, only the most wise and powerful Jedi could feel the darkness that slowly washed over the galaxy.

Inside the citadel that for so long had protected and provided for the Jedi there could only to be found death. The Jedi had been betrayed, betrayed by the one that they had hoped would bring balance to the Force. They had put up a valiant fight, but they were powerless against the unlimited servants of the Empire. Outnumbered, outgunned and caught off guard, they fell easily to those that had once served them.

There was no hope, for the entire Republic had turned against them, believing them to be traitors and rebels. What they had once known, once defended with all their breath, was remodeled and eroded in less than a night?s duration.

Across the galaxy they where killed cruelly and put down without mercy. Not even the youngest survived, for when they turned to who they thought was one of them, he only looked at them with hate and anger as he revealed his lightsaber and struck them down. A new order was at foot, one that could not have such kind of children still alive. The parents? sacrifices, to an order caught up in the winds of change that were propelled by one man?s hunt for power and another?s obsession of love, had been invain.

As the sun rose over the smoldering remains of what was left of an old way, only two Jedi fought on as they attempted one last time to salvage what they could, but it was a desperate attempt that would fail under the roof of the senate and be foiled by one?s pity on Mustafar?

Sekotian_Jedi, this synopsis of the fall of the Jedi is well written. Your lyrical style belies the inspitration of the soundtrack. These images stood out:
