Chapter One: Advanced Primitives.

Jacen Solo and his fiance walked down the halls of Skywalker?s praxeum. He was meeting

his Uncle Luke, and would be given another assignment. Unlike most Jedi, Jacen managed to

avoid the normal disputes and political assassinations that other Jedi handled regularly. He

had enough of those thanks to his choice in a wife. No one in the Jedi Order was surprised

when he and Tenel Ka declared their impending marriage. Jacen?s family had been particularly

elated, especially Han, who said one of his sons had to keep the tradition of marrying up,

since Anakin was busily pursuing Tahiri. The twenty two year old couple were already sharing

quarters and were usually paired together on assignments. They had been a team since the age

of fourteen, tackling tasks that should have been far above them. But Jacen and Tenel ka were

no ordinary Jedi. Both were highly skilled warriors, Tenel Ka deadly with any weapon, and

Jacen unsurpassed in lightsaber technique, not even by Master Skywalker himself. In her late

teens Tenel Ka?s telekinetic powers had grown considerably. Jacen had developed into a tall

and powerfully built man, with incredible telepathic abilities. They were both very perceptive

beings, able to see through any plot. They truly were the greatest Jedi of their generation.

As result they were sent on the most dangerous missions, into wars where they would hopefully

contain the bloodshed to tolerable levels. They had also defeated(killed) the most Dark Jedi.

Most Jedi who left the Order remained peaceful beings, but the few who did not are dangerous

creatures, which Luke sent Jacen and Tenel Ka to deal with them. Their close association had

developed into deep heartfelt love, and they had requested a three year leave of absence once

they were married. Luke was more than happy to let them leave the Order, their exploits had

been instrumental in instilling a respect for the Jedi that the citizenry of the Republic had

not had since the fall of the Old Order. Besides they would more than likely return with

children, and the Jedi needed all the prospective apprentices they could find. But Luke needed

them to preform on last task before they could have their vacation.

The two entered Master Skywalkers office. The office was a circular room, ringed by

padded benches that ended at the door and the quarter arch where Luke?s chair and desk

occupied. Both furnishings could be raised and lowered into the floor, allowing Luke to

meditate midair when he wanted. At present the desk and the chair were raised up. Luke rose

from his chair and motioned for the two to sit on the benches. They sat on the bench to the

right of the door, Jacen putting an arm over his fiance?s shoulder her head barely rose above

his shoulder, such was the height difference. Tenel ka was by no means a short woman, she

stood as tall as Luke?s 176 cms. But Jacen towered an additional twenty centimeters over them

both. Tenel Ka settle comfortably into Jacen?s side before speaking.

?You have an assignment for us Master Skywalker?? Luke smiled, Mara was blunt, but Tenel Ka

was definitely more so when she wanted to be.

?Yes, I?m sending Jacen to Aldaar.? He said raising a remote and activating the holoprojector

in the ceiling. The room darkened and the world of Aldaar appeared before them.
