How do you get the TFN newsletter?

    Edit: Nevermind, I got it.

How long is KnightQuest gonna be? I would guess at least a half hour or so.

"A little over 40 minutes..." is the phrase that I've heard thrown around.

This is a VERY interesting post by Azeem on TFN Fan Films site:

"I know there are a lot of you waiting for KnightQuest to be released. Here are a few things you should be aware of:
The original file came in .wmv format in 3 segments. So, we are releasing the .wmv and a .mov . I had to pull the .mov from the .wmv. In theory, you are not supposed to be able to do this but with the help of forum members, especially Daft Maul, I was finally able to do it. The Microsoft Window Media file is very stubborn.

However, there was a side effect. The .mov version has a very slight hiccup in it. The movie doesn't desync or anything but it is there.

The .mov version is 330x144 @ 15 fps , 22 khz IMA 4:1 . Each segment is about 45 MB in size. The .wmv version is 330x144 @ 30 fps , 44 khz. Each segment is about 60 MB in size.

So, if your computer (Mac or PC) can run Windows Media Video files, I would HIGHLY recommend that version. If not, you will need to the Quicktime version. I am working with Joe to get a better Quicktime version but it may take a couple of weeks.

You should be running Windows Media Player version 7.0 or higher."

Now, don't all of you flame him at once!

Can someone please answer the question about the dance version of the Star Wars theme heard in the Knightquest BTS clip? Who is the artist so we can try to get it off of a music sharing service.

Azeem: Is 7 required or just preferable?

AJ, I'm pretty sure that you need at least 7 to play .WMV files.

    :(

I understand your feeling, because I have had problems with MWP also. My general rule of thumb is to keep whatever version your computer came with. Mine came with WMP8, which seems to work fine, although occasionally I can't get any sound in DiVX files, and I'll have to use the Playa.

DarthSaber, there is a thread called ...>Where is the (- - -Knightquest Premiere- - -)? I thought i was surposed to come out<... (great thread title huh!) that tells you what you need. Basically it'll be sometime around 6 PST

Annonymous, 15fps isn't that weird, it's half the framerate of the full version. If it can't be 30 it basically has to be 15. EDIT: AJ. I belive you won't be able to view without WMV 7.

So, do I go for the 15fps mov file, or the 30fps WMV file. Hmmm decisions decisions....It's a nice problem to have though :)

I've got a PC, so I'll just get the WMV version, so it's a high fps.

Daft, half the time is a little wierd, at least in my eye.

Everyone: I have been able to play WMV files fine with my 6.4

As far as 7 goes, I hate the setup/layout and it takes way too long too load.

The Trailer C is a perfect example
