Although nothing beats seeing a film on the big screen, I don't attend screenings as often as I should, for various reasons.

Noticed this creature lurking about at a movie theater recently. Took a photo for you and Sputnik. Any relation?

Nope. Sputnik says that spider's butt is way too big and that gene doesn't run in his family.

As for theaters, I only go if the film looks reeeeeeeeeaaaaaally good...or if someone else forces me to go with them. In the case of Rogue One, nihilistic_nihilus dragged me along. This was before I really got sucked into the Star Wars fandom. My mom never goes to the theaters and a friend dragged her along to see War Room and she loved it so much, she took me to see it. That film was pretty awesome. No regrets on either of those drag-along theater attendances.

Hi everyone! There was a period of years I never went to the movies because I didn't have transportation to go 45 mins to the nearest city. Now I am usually going at the latest once a month. Oh! I did get a girl chucked out of the movie yesterday. She was texting and laughing and I told my friend I was going to the bathroom, I went to the concession stand and told them and the guy with the red light escorted her out of the movie.

KoD Task #2 - Show Me Your Lightsaber

Master, I have decided to present one of the four sabers I carry for this task. While I value every weapon at my side, each carries individual meaning for me. This is my most modern blade, crafted according to my own vision for an ideal weapon. I present to you my blade, the Cold Blood.

I try to think through worst-case scenarios as I prepare for battle. Crafting a weapon is very personal as it becomes a warrior's best friend in his darkest hour. I aspired to craft a weapon still functional even if, through some horrible twist of fate, its switch malfunctioned or its plasma blade failed to ignite. For this reason, I selected an emitter that could be used as a weapon even without the blade activated. The forked plates on the emitter resemble a battle axe and can be used as such if necessary.

The body of the Cold Blood is tightly wrapped in the highest quality leather so my grip will be difficult to break should an opponent attempt to rob me of my blade. The leather is stained deep crimson by the blood of a Yam'rii assassin; Yam'rii, better known by my people as the accursed Huk. That creature took part in the ambush of my mother and so I took his life and his blood as the price to be paid for his crime.

As for the kyber crystal at the heart of the Cold Blood, it is by no means synthetic. I stole it from a Jedi who played a part in aiding the Huk, forcing my people into starvation and destitution; I killed him and took his most precious belongings. The crystal was beautiful and a sound of equal beauty seemed to resonate from it. I was intensely furious as I held that beautiful object in my hands; furious that such ugly beings as the Jedi could possess something so beautiful when all my people knew was death and destruction.

I did not know the Force within myself was dominating the crystal; did not understand that it turned red because my will was causing it to bleed. But I kept it until such time that I decided to construct my own weapon; a weapon forged by the fires of my own pain and suffering; a weapon I would name the Cold Blood in honor of my reptilian heritage.

    Excellent!

    3 points.

Now, as for the coming week. Find a partner to duel with and employ these three moves within the duel. ;)

Excellent. I would be very interested in your other lightsaber, as well. Not as a task but perhaps for extra prestige.

    3 points.

Your next task is to tell me your favored fighting form and also choose a Sith or another combatant you feel exemplifies your style of fighting.

You can not use General Grievous.

Thank you, Master. I will be more than happy to share the information and visuals on my additional blades at a future time. I am still detailing some of them.

Ouch. Too obvious, huh? Seriously, that note made me laugh out loud. Not a problem. I do have other fighters my style is modeled after. ;)

Applause to all of those participants, on behalf of the Dark Triumvirate and the Ebon Knights I give you the first round results.

    Round 1 Final Results.

    Match 1
    Corinthia v. Mikaboshi
    (4-3 corinthia)
Excellent innovative use of materials, equipment, and the environment by both players throughout. Good use of counters and recoveries by both. Mikaboshi took too much damage eventually leading to being disadvantage and being subdued. Post details from both were excellent!

    Match 2
    PCCViking v. Dagobahsystem
    (5-2 dagobahsystem)
For both of you tour match began to build, as the posts from each of you steadily improved! Good description of moves and playing out attacks and counters. There were times where the moves seemed to need more aggressiveness, as I felt as though there were some missed opportunities. Overall well done, and again the posts from both got better as the match went on.

    Match 3
    Captain_Owen v. queensabe7
    (3-0 queensabe7)
Forfeit due to lack of player response. Participating player did good job with description of posts and executions of moves during match and with follow up trial.

    Match 4
    Anakin.skywalker v. kaleesh-cyborg
    (4-3 Kaleesh-cyborg)
Outstanding details from both players, Anakin.skywalker excellent job on counters and use of mind-shard. Just took too much damage, do not be afraid to push your defense and counters to change the tide. Kaleesh relentless grinding, to overpower opponent. Inventive use of physical attacks and very aggressive. Excellent banter throughout the match, you both have promising careers as duelers and role-players.

    Match 5
    Nehru Amidala v. adiondackjedi27
    (4-3 adirondackjedi27)
Despite the slow beginning and end, I applaud you both for your patience and perseverance. Nehru Amidala stormed back poised to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, however it was too insurmountable a deficit to overcome. Adirondackjedu27 I would encourage you to never give up, you began faltering and almost lost the match only because you slowed down at the end and lost the momentum. You did a good job up until the mid-point of the round. I look forward to you both continuing to improve your skills.

The following will advance with the suggested player advancing as well to round out the next matches.
    Match winners:
    Corinthia
    Dagobahsystem
    Queensabe7
    Kaleesh-cyborg
    Adirondackjedi27

Wild Card Advancement: Given to a player selected for their outstanding participation and dueling.

    Mikaboshi

I will be announcing the next round shortly along with the selected pairings.
