ST Knights Of Ren Discussion Thread

"Knights of Ren" and "Imperial Knights", why do they both sound like prog rock groups?

If they were just mentioned as per "The Clone Wars" in ANH then it would just be seen as a plot device, but to show them in the flash back, it feels like a bit of a waste not to expand.

 

Just a question. After VIII is there any reason to watch VII again?

 

Was there a reason to other than wonder wtf?

 

After having watched TLJ today I wonder what happened to the Knights of Ren. There is nothing about those dudes in this film while in TFA Snoke referred to Kylo as a Master of the Knights of Ren. Maybe they show up in Episode 9 or maybe they have become Snoke's guards? Guess I do have some questions still

 

Maybe you only become Master of the Knights of Ren by killing all of the others.

Somebody saying another thread maybe Hux goes for them, if they are out here. There will most likely be some schism in the First Order. Those two are not Vader/Tarkin.

 

They were Snoke's guards. How could they not be Snoke's guards? They were amazing duelists who nearly took out Reylo. They looked just like them, except they were red instead of black. No one tell me some Visual Dictionary or whatever gives those guard dudes a different name. My head canon has them as the KoR.

 

Well you might be right. Snoke's guards were pretty cool looking and gave Kylo and Rey a real fight. Love that armor, also I did notice how they made the amor lightsaber resistant. The sabers were sliding off the armor but the armor does have weak spots.
As for them being KOR or not, well Idk. Nothing in TLJ confirmed or debunked that idea.

 

So if there’s a schism, who gets to keep the name First Order? And who gets stuck as the Supreme Leader of the Second Order?

 

Missed these guys. Wouldve rather had Luke fighting these guys and Kylo in the end..

 

I guess they forgot these guys when writing the script. Whoops.

So ... we find out that contrary to what Han told Rey in TFA, not all of Luke's students were killed ... some of them ran away with Kylo to ?? (not stated) become the Knights of Ren .. sort of like a boy gang, in which case - where were they????

 

Rian did find this and all other build ups in TFA not interesting at all. He should have done a stand alone movie

 

At least Luke mentioned them. Sort of.

 

In person and going out like a warrior? That makes too much sense.

 

Did they even sell the KoR toys? They have no other purpose.

 

So much for Phasma and the Knights of Ren having bigger roles.

 

Why would Kylo fight his own Knights of Ren? The red guys are Snoke's.

I wish they would've shown the KOR here, too. Always saying how Kylo is their "master" for what reason? Bringing them into the next episode just won't have as big of an impact because there's no way we could ever really appreciate their power, if they're even able to demonstrate it. It's squeezing their lore into such a small space, now.

 

Yeah. Phasma’s role was even smaller here.

 

They should've had Rey and Kylo fight the Knights of Ren instead of the guards

 

I'm 100% sure we'll see them in 9. I think they're just Luke's students.
