IC: Semaj Calal
Sturges system, Sturges, Café Thranta

As Semaj and Walker entered the café he could feel his Judicial partner nervously fingering the grip of his holstered blaster. The Jedi knew that out of habit his partner had already unfastened the safety strap so he could draw the weapon without any hindrances. Semaj?s eyes were automatically drawn to the glowing crimson blade of the Sith?s lightsaber.

Semaj pulled his saber hilt into his hand, but did not ignite his blade. He had hoped not to insight a panic amongst the civilians inside the local watering hole. His hopes were to no avail, as the rest of the café?s occupants began to move away, towards the walls, or behind their chairs. A Rodian child burst into tears, catching the sudden chill in the air, and the fear of his parents, while a Twi?lek stood between his friends, arms spread out. The bartender dove behind the coffee machine, and the Ishi Tib waitress screamed.

Suddenly the young Jedi felt a tremor in the Force. A cold sense of foreboding washed over him like the ever crashing waves on Kamino. At first he thought it was due to the presence of the unregistered Sith in the café. But then he realized it was emanating from the living Force, a warning about the here and now. It was not centered on the Sith, but on the space between them.

Walker, unaware of the danger that had flared in the Force, which the Sith would have also detected, had his blaster in hand and fired. Everything seemed to slow to a crawl all around Semaj, while he continued to move at normal speed. He saw the bolt being deflected straight back at Walker. The Jedi summoned his weapon to life, batted the bolt harmlessly into the ceiling, and shouted, ?NNOOO!!?

The tremor violently became an explosion. If Semaj had not had to bat away the blaster bolt he would have been able to create a Force barrier large enough to shield Walker as well from the blast. Instead he was sent flying out of the bar into the building across the way. The barrier was able to protect Semaj from the heat and debris created by the bomb, but not the concussive wave.

It cut the power of the blast to 25% of its strength, enough to throw him back a few feet and bury him under the fallen ceiling. His barrier lasted long enough to prevent him from being crushed beneath the weight of the rubble. With a burst of Force energy he blasted the debris off of his body. He had sustained some cuts and bruises that would require some bacta and a few hours of a healing trance to mend.

As he got to his feet, he felt the pang of death all around him, but none more so then from screaming, flaming, slashing and frenzied Sith advancing on him. Semaj struggled to bring up his own blade into a guard position to ward off this new threat. He decided to try and reason with him.

?We don?t have to do this. I know you weren?t the cause of the attack.? But he knew deep down inside himself that his words were falling on deaf ears. Once a Sith go that look in their eyes your only hope was to maim them to the point of submission.

I?ve got a bad feeling about this.

IC: Brenn?ar Sha
Nar Shaddaa, Yuuzhan Vong

Part of him wished he had a Mon Duul to amplify his voice and possibly make these drunken simpletons cringe in terror from idiocy. That and call for a warrior to clean this up, but he had no Mon Duul and he had no warriors randomly showing up at his house at the edge of the Yuuzhan Vong sector of Nar Shaddaa.

Although whoever had placed the Corellian Sector next door was either a monumental fool or very intelligent, for the Corellians were a group they could respect as they had kept their world free by sacrificing others to secure victory. A very Yun-Yammka thing of them. Which meant that the warrior sect respected them, and the shapers merely looked at them in a quasi-okay light, after all the shapers and warriors rarely saw eye to eye on what should be respected.

"Fy'y Roog! Fy'y Roog!" he growled out in response. A shapers battle cry growled out instead of shouted at their inebriated attempts to fight to the death. Some things still had to be hidden. With a grin spreading across the masquer?s face he removed a snap bug from under the faux jump suit. With a snap of the wrist the snap bug hit the ground between him and his attackers.

To say it no effect would be a lie, to say it did would also be a lie. To the humans it was like their flash bag?s, to him it was something that was like looking at a star, making other things hard to see beyond their forms and sounds to be slightly muffled.

Stepping forward Brenn?ar kicked the jaw of the nearest thug to snap his head back, either in death or unconsciousness he didn?t care, as he made his way toward the one that was downed with a disrupter rifle. If he was able to get close enough and disarm the only real threat. . .there were things he could do yet before the cops arrived. Yes, things he could enjoy.

IC: Jak Solan
Aboard the Night Watch, Bothawui, Bothan System

As soon as the boy had revealed his stash, Jak felt his face grown warm with anticipation as his eyes drifted down to the bag in the boy's grip. Part of him was jealous that such a young child currently held more worth than either himself or Cyn, but those feelings were instantly crushed by his cautious nature. When a situation appeared to be too good to be true, it often was. Something was off about Ohr's story and either the boy was too naive to understand what he was dealing with or he knew perfectly well what was going on and this was all an elaborate setup. Until Jak knew for certain which one he was dealing with, he had to play along and not give away any hints that he suspected something was off about Mr. Ohr. That meant they were stuck with him...at least, for now.

"I can deal with the boy," he admitted to Cyn after a moment, avoiding eye contact with her as he spoke in an equally quiet tone. "Even if he poses any real threat, we'll be able to take him between the two of us. That one, on the other hand...I don't like him."

He nodded with his chin toward the Trandoshan, mentally wincing at the damage the creature could inflict with its muscular build. And he wasn't even accounting for any weapons he may be carrying... "Where'd you find him, anyway? The local sewer?"

"It?s down to you, Jak," Cyn continued in a casual tone. "Dump the box on Druckenwell, take Borga?s quarter pay, or take the boy and make it all the way to Coruscant, picking up three times that on the way with a stop off on Corellia?" She trailed off, turning to follow Jak's gaze to the Trandoshan unloading cargo. "The money getting ourselves to Sturges wouldn?t be too bad..."

"No, it wouldn't," Jak reluctantly agreed, turning away as he shoved his hands deep within his pockets. "But that's not the only part I'm worried about. Certain people on Corellia won't exactly welcome us back with open arms - more like a blaster bolt to the face."

A return trip to Corellia was something he had been avoiding since his brother had sold him out to the local crime watch, which effectively plastered his face on hundreds of wanted posters throughout the sector. Cyn had thought his actions to be that of a coward and had been trying to convince him to go back for months to face his fears. Judging from the smile that came upon her face, this time would be no different.

"And having Borga?s legal cover story would give us some great cover for visiting a few Solan branches on Corellia." Cyn stepped back, that knowing smile still evident on her face. Damn her! She had obviously thought this whole situation through better than what he thought. She definitely knew where to hit him to make it count and Jak would be a complete fool to back down now. He practically lived for any chance he could get to tarnish the family business.

"But it?s down to you, Captain Solan," she added with a sly look in her eye.

The use of the family name hadn't been lost on him and he couldn't help but smile in return. If the others recognized the name, he couldn't be sure and at the moment, he didn't particularly care either. "Alright, you win," he relented with a playful look in his eye. "We'll head to the Core and take in the sights. Maybe we'll get lucky and things will go exactly how they're supposed to this time. Hell, maybe we'll even come out of this with double. The gods know I could use a vacation."

He winked mischievously at Cyn before turning his attention to their new passengers, motioning them onto the freighter with a casual wave of his hand. "Looks like you boys got yourselves transport to the Core," he beamed with a fake smile. "Welcome aboard the Night Watch."

Admiral Pest
Aboard the Ascendancy

CONTACT THE FLAGSHIP VIA A PRIVATE LINE. STATE YOU ARE HOLDING THE BOMBERS HOSTAGE, AND DEMAND THE SURRENDER OF THE FLAGSHIP. KEEP WITHDRAWING UNTIL YOU ARE FREE OF YOUR GRAVITY WELLS, AND JUMP. Pest glanced at the message and nodded to Captain Lorrel. "Looks like we have an opponent, this time." He said. Pest gave him a dissatisfied look.

He ordered his ship to turn, now. Show it´s powerful broadside to the enemy. An enemy, who probably considered this to be a sign of an coming retreat.

"What was our goal?" Pest asked him, not caring to answer the message. He zoomed in on his display. The other would wait at least for another minute for an answer, which meant Pest had time to reconsider and adjust his strategy to the deadly mistake the enemy had just done. "Sir, I just meant, the bomber, taking them hostage was quite a good move, for a . . ." Pest raised his hand. "What was our goal with the Janson 5 maneuver? Why did we break up our formation allowing them to isolate our ships?" Captain Lorrel looked at the Admiral, blinked and the nodded. Understanding with the shame of knowing he had not interpreted the message under the right tactical value. "Identify the command ship of the enemy, Sir." He said. Pest nodded.

"Imaginative idea, hostages. But obviously a totally untrained commander. He did not realize he gave away his command ship and invited . . . almost obliged us with proceeding with what?" Lorrel smiled. "Pest 1." He said. Pest nodded. the beheading of the enemies command structure. Captain Lorell sighed. "He signed his own death." Pest nodded again. He wished for some tea, but he did not wanted to be disrespectful to his soldiers.

"Full ion cannon broadside from us. The bombers caught shall deploy two torpedoes each. The tractor beams will guide the missiles into their target, should the ion cannons fail." He ordered and smiled a bitter smile, as he realized that this strategy had been used by Luke Skywalker probably around the time these Battle Dragons were build. hundreds of years ago. Of course Skywalker had been little more than a skilled amateur when it came to strategies. He knew about it, because he had studied the enemy of Skywalker. Thrawn. One of his idols, when he had been younger. "All fighters break free and attack the left side battle dragon. Target engine section. Only Red Squadron supports the Stazi and Romar with the right sided Dragon. The bombers that have been freed shall return to us and regroup five clicks behind the lines." He nodded and turned to the screen. "And only in case you haven´t guessed, Captain. We stop acting like we´re outdated. Give ´em hell." He smiled and awaited the full power of his knew flagship to be unleashed.

He would have loved to be out there. To fly attack runs on these tractor beams. He had given up on those thing, long ago. His place was now on a bridge. Nevertheless, he knew someone had messed up, when the tractor beams had caught the bombers. A bomber was meant to be escorted by ships who should destroy such weapons, once they were used. Easy to find, easy to hit, no defense against an incoming torpedo. Someone had messed up and left his bombers behind. Some Squadron leader who had wanted more than the inglorious task of escorting the bombers.

An ex-Wing Commander. Pest noted it in his mind and waited for their attack to begin. On a side note, he used the console before him to drop out their own gravity mines. Behind his ship, where the enemy could not reach it.

"Execute" He ordered Lorrel, as the man signed him all orders had been forwarded. Pest´s eyes turned to the Romar and Stazi. His two escort Captains were now left alone with his best Squadron, but nevertheless a Squadron. He had given them free reign to approach whatever way they wanted. It was a test. While he could provide cover, if needed . . . he wanted Captains who could stand on their own as long as needed, even against superior firepower. So far, at least Arca had shown initiative.

Zayden Nephrite
Teravi, Frontline

While the jetpack check went around, Zayden allowed himself a moment to look back and scan the shores of which they came from. There were a couple of armored forms laying face-first in the sands; Mandalorians like the one Devaronian that had taken one too many hits and were brought down. Further back were the hulks of dropships like theirs that had been shot down and Zayden wondered as to what other equipment and lives may've been lost other then the mentioned tanks. Zayden did not dwell on it for these losses were all part of being Mandalorian. You fought, you see comrades die, but you continue to fight and not look back until after the battle was over. All that Zayden wished for was that - if he was to die - he'd prefer to die in the middle of a glorious battle rather then picked off in a badly-chosen dropship.

Speaking of the battle, results of the checks on their jetpacks came away with only two viable candidates: Zayden's and the other "newbie" named Kast. Go figure and Zayden felt a flash of humor at the likelihood of such fortune. Fortune because, with the only working jetpack, Zayden was going to be leading the charge on this one to get the ridge.

"You can have that next one," Zayden spoke to Kast before he stood up, straightening his shoulders as a sign of him going to be the one that lifted off. While the rest of Ordo Squad set up, Zayden checked the power packs on both his shield and his rotary blaster. The shield was ready go and he still had a little over half of a charge on his blaster which he thought was adequate.

?We?re moving out, now!?

On cue, Zayden's jetpack ignited, mixing with the roars and shouts of the other Mandalorians as they charged. Zayden flew into the air, activating his energy shield as he did so and holding it up in front of him to protect his body as he prepared for the oncoming enemy fire. He did not have his rotary blaster out, however, as that weapon had been placed back in the slot at his broad back. That was for the follow-up as, instead, Zayden gripped the barrel of his shoulder-mounted grenade launcher and brought it down so that it was facing forward. When he reached the ridge, Zayden blocked any shots that would come to him while he unloaded with his grenade launcher. With a trio of coughs, three grenades were launched from the weapon, being fired and landing in a spread before detonating, consuming any Tofs troops with a shower of flame and noise.

And then the violet-eyed Nephrite brought up his rotary blaster. Like down on the shore, Zayden squeezed the trigger and the barrels rotating before coughing up stream of blaster bolts. The Mandalorian moved the weapon left and right, completing scorching the Tof lines with bolts of energy that hadn't been touched by the explosive grenades.

The adrenaline was pumping now and Zayden felt the elation of participating in pure, violent combat. Though the inexperienced would sometimes flounder and become lost in the sights, sounds, and sensations that he was currently experiencing, Zayden had long since learned to harness and focus the battle fever he now felt. His eyes narrowing, his jaw clenching, the Mandalorian steadily placed his shower of bolts where needed, cutting down those that got in his way before moving onto the next patch of earth that had hostiles that needed clearing. He didn't concern himself with how long it would take Ordo Squad to take the ridge but instead focused purely on his job.

Ordo would get here when they got here. He just focused on doing as much damage as he could until they do. After all, more devastation on his part meant less for the squad to deal with. A pity that. For them.

Coruscant, Senate Chambers

Sallacine smiled internally as the motion passed; he knew his speech, short though it was, had been a key factor.

It made Sallacine happy; even though he cared fairly little about the motion, he was content in the knowledge that his actions had subtly influenced the Senate, and brought about what he had desired - a boost to his image of political power, and more importantly, further wealth and personal power in the future, if he could negotiate a trade of Force artifacts as part of opening the Republic Archives to the Chiss.

He listened with only half an ear and Senator Ky'el spoke, ostensibly, at least, thanking him for his support; his thoughts had already whirled from contemplations of future power to the fact that now his, and the rest of the Insiders', decisions had to be made swiftly; other motions remained on the table and now the attention of the Senate, and through the cams, the attention of the galaxy, was upon them.

Sallacine turned his head to face Cadriaan, smirking at the quirking of the Lord's lips that signified displeasure. "Things will move forward quickly now," he whispered. "But I'm leaving the next one to you, my friend; I think the Senate needs to see Lord Cadriaan speak, don't you agree?" Sallacine always instigated friction, as through friction, knowledge could be obtained - of allies' and enemies' weaknesses - and progress could be made faster. It was why he suggested Cadriaan deliver a speech pertaining to whichever motion the spotlight was thrown upon next; he knew Cadriaan wouldn't like the very personal attention such a thing brought one bit.

OOC: I shall be making a habit of offering to do joint posts with players to bulk out their characters in these opening stages. I will hopefully be rotating this, so every poster gets this opportunity. Last time, it was a combined post with Darth_Dreadwar, and this time it was with Trimaj. As Trimaj responded very quickly, I got quite a lot out of him so the post will be made second, after the other players posts. I shall contact a player per round of posts to request a joint one, where possible. Please note, for those of you waiting, Destiny will be covered in the next few TAGs. Look out for it! ;)

IC: Senator Praer
Yavin System/ Lightsaber Project Demonstration Site

[blockquote]Praer suspected he was getting a brush-off, but it hardly bothered him, as Senator Verin seemed to be smiling. Senator Praer simply settled in his chair, a small smile attaching itself to his lips at the Zeltron?s qualifying words. Another Senator shushed Praer, good naturedly, and pointed out the transparisteel. ?The Lightsaber is ready to fire.?

Over the speaker, Chancellor Valorum spoke, and you could hear the smile in his voice. ?Senators, Moffs, Barons and Lords, members of commerce, dignataries, gentle beings all,? There was a wave of applause, honks, roars and shrieks of support, and the Speaker called for order.

?Today we make peace complete! The war is long behind us, and the galaxy has seen its quietest era since the dawn of the civilisation ? the Golden Age of the galaxy, with no end in sight. Today, with the firing of the Lightsaber, we will be able to create more inhabited worlds, and fuel the fires of commerce. Here, where the Empire, Republic, Light Watch and Dark Watch, have all made history, we shall do so in our generation!?

More thunderous applause, and Praer lightly clapped, nodding as he watched the skeletal frame of the Lightsaber orient, magnified by the cameras pointed that way and displayed on the transparisteel viewports.

Valorum?s voice came above the noise. ?And so, without further a do, I order you to fire at will, commander!?

The Lightsaber activated, and a beam of pure concentrated emerald energy emerged, stabbed into the heart of the gas giant, igniting the gases at the core. The blast had been tailored to such a frequency that it would ignite only certain gases, and was not of sufficient power to explode the whole gas giant. From the naked eye, it appeared as if flames were bursting beneath the surface, before the Lightsaber ceased firing, and the gas giant began to take upon a yellow hue, as a miniature sun, smothered by the other, less ignitable gases, came into existence.

The transparisteel darkened, and the applause began.

Just before the transparisteel completely darkened, protecting the eyes of those who were practically speaking looking upon a new sun, a trio of shining spheres burst free from the gas giant, their surfaces blackened before they faded into the backdrop. To someone who was not looking straight at them, it seemed to be a solar flare of some kind, but to those sitting with Praer, they definitely appeared to be something else ? but the moment lasted an instant, and whatever they were, it was definitely gone. The real oddity was that for a flash it appeared that they had tentacle arms, intriguingly - oddly.

Praer frowned at Senator Varen. The Senators to their left and right didn?t seem perturbed, and were simply applauding. He looked at Varen ? and canted his head. Partially because he saw his aide threading through the crowd, and partially because of the spheres? Praer looked at Varen. ?Did you see that??[/blockquote]

IC: Darth Centi
Jabiim system, Jabiim, Old Town

Darth Centi was deep in his rage, now, deflecting, leaping, completely one with the dark side. Finally into his stride, Centi allowed his mind to reach forward, towards the tank, and he explored with the Force, concluding the best way to destroy the tank was... and then it tipped forward, and, because it took a moment to deactivate the auto-fire, which the crew didn't have, the gun fired into the ground and consumed the whole tank.

Centi landed on his feet in a crouch, and glared at Lady Agape, up on the roof. She had saved him. How... disgusting. Centi grimaced, and stood. He was glad his mask blocked his sight. He saw no need to congratulate the Council's little unpleasant pest. He looked over to the other surviving Sith, who came back around the corner, armour dimpled with burn marks from raining stone. He issued his orders. "We are nearly at the base of the tower where the shield generators and anti-aircraft weapons lie."

"Come." Centi deactivated his blade, acknowledge Agape with a nod as he walked on. He simply signalled her to maintain rearguard from her vantage point. The sounds of the battle grew more intense, as the starfighter battle headed towards the centre of the city. Anti-starfighter weapons opened up, ripping through the furball and taking down many of the Imperial fighters, but the battle was far from over, even as Jabiimi U-wings rallied against the surviving Imperials. Not until they took out the command centre.

They meandered through the streets, the three of them, and Centi imagined Agape would have transformed into something inconspicuous. Cowardly of her, as ever ? Darth Centi absently wished she was easier to kill. Because he didn?t want to have to be the one who did it, whenever Agape did something else. Today she was been sent to the front, and then tomorrow she?d be marked for death, knowing Agape.

Typical of her to be a decent person, and Darth Centi deepened his scowl. Centi rolled forward the holocam, again, and saw more tanks, down a later street, but this time they had opportunities. Centi looked up, and saw there were handholds where damage had been inflicted to the building, and ladder snaking down the side of the building, as they did in the atypical apartment blocks.

[image=http://us.123rf.com/400wm/400/400/alexeys/alexeys0705/alexeys070500005/913303-fire-escape-ladder-on-a-old-brick-apartment-building.jpg]

Centi pointed from Agape to the roof above him. He signalled to Agape. ?Go on, secure the roof.? On that roof, per the sensors in his helmet, and the sense he had in the Force, he could tell there were three mildly armed Jabiimi and a single bulky battle droid. That would keep Agape busy. He signalled to the other Sith, and the two of them made their way up. Centi took the hand-holds, while the other Sith took the stairwell, endeavouring to not loudly clang.

Agape would have to make her way over on her own.

--

An explosion jerked Loriana's attention back to the street below, and what used to be a tank. No... I didn't mean for- Closing her eyes she let the feeling of life being snuffed out waft over her, swearing to remember it as she always did. Why does this keep happening to me. Sighing she looked down and saw Centi staring up at her and pretty well knew what he was thinking which did bring a slight smile to her lips. Loriana always loved tweaking the more orthodox sith's noses, and saving his life definitely qualified.

Over her commlink Loriana could hear where they were headed. As Centi nodded to her, he motioned for her to take rearguard which seemed rather pointless since most of anything they were going to be fighting would be in front of them. Apparently that wasn't her problem, so she shifted into a rather largish rodent, storing all of her equipment inside her body and scurried along behind them.

Looking forward to the tower Loriana saw lasers flare and a mess of ships in the furball above flared equally bright before exploding into balls of fire. Frow

Kal was silent as he watched the once vivid orange gas planet Yavin was transformed into a brightly burning yellow star. What he hadn't expected to see were a series of small object being flung from it, plenty of them seemingly scorched and...tentacled? He blinked his eyes repeatedly, trying to figure out if what he had just seen was indeed a reality.

?Did you see that?? the voice of Senator Praer inquired.

"I don't know what you're talking about Senator, nothing unusual at all, why, what did you see Senator, surely nothing to worry about I'd assume?" Kal replied rising from his seat, for once in his life allowing no emotion to leave him at all. "Now if you'll excuse me I have other business to attend to." he added as he rushed off, he hoped that he'd manage to find someone who recorded this, and hope that same person would be able to zoom in and clear up exactly what it was that had flown from that test site, and identify what it could possibly be that had suddenly made him feel that his unease was justified.

Aboard the Night Watch, Bothawui, Bothan System

The odd gurgle that issued from the Trandoshan was the only warning that Jak had that something was very wrong. Jak didn't trust the hulking lizard and his initial thought was to blame him for the disturbance, but as Cyn and himself turned as one, he soon discovered that they weren't alone and the Trandoshan had simply fallen victim to whoever was attacking them.

That's when Jak spotted the feline-like Farghul pointing a gun - the same gun that had apparently wrapped the Trandoshan in some kind of synthetic net to immobilize him. Jak merely smiled. They would have to try a lot harder than that to trap him in the same manner as the dumb lizard.

With a skill honed by years of living on the edge, Jak whipped his blaster free from its resting place at his side and snapped off a few shots at the Farghul, hoping to dissuade the creature from trying anything else. As he turned to take cover, he heard the telltale pang of some of his shots hitting metal, but he didn't get a chance to survey the full extent of the damage before Cyn was calling for his attention.

Snapping his head towards the sound of Cyn's voice, Jak witnessed the horror of a Twi'lek trying to steal Borga's prize. Luckily for the both of them, Cyn was just as quick on the trigger as he was and in a single shot, had the Twi'lek retreating in a flail of head tails.

Now it was up to him to finish this.

Squatting close to the deckplates, Jak traded his blaster for the vibroblade hidden within his boot, turning the handle slowly within his grip as he gestured to Cyn with his free hand. It was a silent signal to keep an eye on their prize while offering her a hint of reassurance that he had everything under control. Of course, he wasn't sure if he really had everything under control, but it was better not to exploit that just yet. At this point, they could use all the hope and luck they could get.

Jak inched his was forward, slowly sneaking up on the Twi'lek's position as Cyn kept the saboteur busy. It was only at the last minute that he decided to pounce, flinging himself forward to topple the Twi'lek while slashing in a downward motion with the blade.

Starting to turn around, Loriana found her face suddenly and forcefully introduced to a wall. It was readily apparent what had happened from the blazing sore of anger that was Centi storming through the door behind her, lightning blazing. Damn him. Damn him, damn him, damn him! She was angry. She was Lady Agape.

Eyes now glowing blood red and her face a death mask, though still with hearts on it oddly enough, Lady Agape turned towards the door just in time to see Centi get shoved to the side by what could only be described as a nightmare. "Oh hell." The Gen'dai was coming at her, and she could tell that it was at least slightly Force sensitive. There was a thread of fear running through Loriana, but Lady Agape ignored it.

Throwing both hands forward, trying to remember the weaknesses of a Gen'dai, Pfft. Weaknesses. Why can't I have fire handy when I need it?, Lady Agape Force shoved the creature hard enough that he should smash into the computer terminals across the room that apparently had some form of a trap in it since he hadn't reappeared. Unless the creature had already killed him.

Turning herself into a broken chair, Lady Agape tried to channel her anger, and shock, into some form of focus. Hated being angry. It let out the bad side of herself, which when it was present she tended to revel in. But anger had it's uses. It had kept her alive, even if it hurt her later. Her mind was too split for her own long term good. Mind. Their mind is weak. An evil smile formed in her mind. She knew what to do.

Waiting for the Thing to come back through and attempt to find her the towers guns fired again, and the building shook. And shook. Mental eyes widening she realized that the tower was going to end up collapsing at some point. Soon if the trembling in the tower was any indication.

By then the Gen'dai had come back into the room, looking for her and finding only destroyed furniture. Stretching out with the Force Lady Agape flooded the monster's mind with illusions of fire. Fire everywhere, burning, heat. The only safe place was a corner near the doorway, which was about fifteen feet from where she was currently... sitting in the middle of the illusory flames. And she waited to see what it would do.

The Gen'dai recoiled as his primitive mental defenses were shredded, and he reeled, instinctively running from the flames that he perceived towards the safe place by the doorway, head in its hands. It roared, an inarticulate sound, and fled to the right of the chair that was Lady Agape.

Forming eyes so she could see instead of just sense, Lady Agape stared at the creature. She had bought herself time to think. Loriana really didn't like what she was thinking, but knew that there were few answers to Gen'dai. And she really didn't want the mess that would come from trying to blow it up. The tower shook again, worse, reminding her that she was running out of time.

Debating with herself, it was a technique that even Lady Agape was somewhat loath to use. It just fundamentally wasn't part of her, but being pragmatic as all Sith are has it's benefits. And causes anguish later trying to rationalize. Transforming herself backing into a human form Loriana sighed softly. "I'm sorry," she whispered to the Gen'dai. No being truly deserved what she was about to do, but survival and accomplishing her mission no matter the costs were a fundamental part of the Sith order. And she was part of that. Lady Agape in particular was a part of that, being the truly Sith side of Loriana. Turning away Loriana let herself become Lady Agape again, dreading what was to come.

Taking a deep breath and focusing her mind more fully so the illusion would hold while she was doing something else, Lady Agape turned and studied the cowering creature. Pity I can't train it. Would be usef

IC: Semaj Calal
Sturges system, Sturges, Café Thranta
Semaj leapt into the air to clear the roof section that had been hurtled at him. Once he reached the peak of his jump he reached out to the force to levitate long enough to throw the Sith's timing off. Instead of slashing through the Jedi, he was only thrown off balance. Semaj brought his blade down in a sweeping arc to push the crimson blade completely away. He aimed for the Sith's weapon arm in an attempt to end the fight quickly before to many innocents began to gather.

The Sith rolled forward, using the loss of balance he experienced as momentum to escape the sweep, and also putting out some of the flame that was carving furrows into his back. His senses were slowly returning to him, and Darth Venti recognized the Jedi before him as the Watchman for this system. "Is this how you greet all of your Sith appointments, Calal? Your 2 pm appointment, standard time, with Darth Venti?" He roared, throwing a burst of lightning at Calal, and then pointing with his hand - and outright wrenching at the ground beneath the Jedi's feet, before darting forward to finish him off.

But the Watchman batted away the burst of lightning and used the momentum of the rushing Sith against him by twisting away from him as if he was a charging ronto. "I am sorry Darth Venti, but I have no 2 pm appointment today. As a matter of fact, my droid assistant and I verified that there were no Sith transfers scheduled for a month. I have a feeling we have been set up." He reached out his off hand and altered the air currents around Darth Venti, turning it into a maelstrom. "If you would just calm yourself for a moment we can figure this all out."

Darth Venti raised a hand as Calal turned back to face him, and hit him with a powerful Force push, looking to blow apart the maelstrom. "I bet you say that to all the Sith you fail to kill!"

The two warriors stood, deadlocked and pressing against each other?s Force attacks. "Look if I wanted to kill you would I have used an explosive device of some sort, inflicting pain and suffering on innocent patrons? No, that is not the Jedi way. Would I have wandered into a place where I knew a bomb had been placed? NO. So for force-sakes, just stop and think for a minute." Why do Sith have to be so thick headed all the time!?!

Venti would have none of it, and he took steps forward, as R19 beeped and razzed from his position, moving his head in an effort to put himself back on his runners. It was a pretty pathetic effort. Venti cut for Calal's left, and then lashed for the Jedi's right, the former strike all feint - and then he released a wave of telekinetic energy, revealing the whole sword-fighting effort was a ruse. R19 didn't mind, as it up righted him, but if Calal wasn't on his toes he was about to get flung to the floor - and Venti was already throwing himself at Calal, sword-blade stabbing, anticipating the Jedi would either be propelled - and the Sith would stake him - or he would stand - and Venti would stab him.

This Sith just didn't get it - and was all wrapped up in his rage, feeding it.

Seeing his droid companion, R19, 'standing' back up, Semaj saw an opportunity. He reached out and flung the trashcan sized droid at the attacking Venti. He then somersaulted into the air Force leaping backwards onto the roof of the adjacent building. ?Listen! Let go of your rage. Why would I bring you,? he said pointing at the Sith with his saber, ?here to kill you, when I didn?t even knew you existed until I walked through the door to the Café a minute ago? None of this makes sense!?

R19 hit the Sith - hard. There was a crunching sound, and then the Sith fell to the ground. R19 beeped, softly, and let out a coo. R19 requested that Calal help him up - as the droid looked around, he could see that the Sith Lord's head was very, very broken - and he wasn't breathing.

Semaj saw that his opponent was down and so was R19, again. He righted the droid once more and rushed to the side of hi

Zayden Nephrite
Teravi, Frontline

Its the flow of battle that can tell you when something is wrong. Being a Mandalorian, Zayden was quite sensitive to disturbances on the battlefield. It wasn't the Force, Zayden knew he did not possess such a mystical ability, but rather observations. When the big Mando didn't see anymore grenades being shot into the air and there came an increased intensity of fire coming towards him, he knew that something had happened to Kast; whether pinned down, wounded, or dead something had happened to him.

And Ordo Squad was late. When they didn't come charging into the grounds that Zayden had just bombarded, he knew that something had happened.

Ignoring the warning beeps of his shield gauntlet and how the power levels in his HUD were dwindling down to empty, Zayden glanced to the right, saw the problem, and decided to act on it. With what Tofs he had been firing upon having been thinned by his and Kast's firepower, and the fact that most of them were falling back towards the stone towers, thinking to put range between them and the Mandalorians, it left Zayden more flexibility to move and put his weapons to work elsewhere. His T-shaped visor focused menacingly on the Tof warriors that pinned down Ordo Squad.

His energy shield dissipated and instead Zayden used his flamethrower, putting up a screen of fire to help hide him from the gunners of the stone towers before he rocketed down to help Ordo Squad. Instead of going for any of his blasters, Zayden's hand dropped to the hilt of a large beskad at his side and drew it from its scabbard. When he was right upon the first Tof, the Mandalorian cut power from his jetpack. Now letting gravity do the rest of the work, Zayden dropped towards his target, with his beskad raised high above his head. When his feet impacted the ground, the sheer mass of the large Mando creating a small tremor where he landed, his beskad had already dropped down more like a hammer then a sword in order to cleave and completely mutilate the first Tof under the sharpness of the blade and the sheer strength that was behind it.

His flamethrower then pointed to the rest of the Tofs, sending a stream towards them. The attack was meant to both catch fire to any nearby Tof, disrupt their sight from Zayden so they couldn't get a good bead on him, and to distract them from the rest of Ordo Squad. With a roar from his helmet speakers - partly to maybe intimidate the Tofs but mostly to let Ordo Squad know that he arrived -, Zayden was already charging into the middle of the Tof ranks, his sword swinging through armor, bone, and flesh while his flames consumed anyone else in his path.

Admiral Pest
Ascendancy, Somewhere in Space

"Red 5, follow the third Dragon and report when it leaves Hyperspace." He ordered Red Five personally. It was an old friend of his, he had brought aboard, when he had hand-picked his men. A near-human pilot called Jeslin Brans who had seen as many battles as him. He would be able to stay out of sight and survive being spotted if it happened. with him on the tail of the third Dragon he turned back to the remains of the short skirmish.

Pest watched the battle evolve, mostly ignoring the pirate. Only when he heard of the threat he gave an sardonic smile. And then cut the contact. He never had said a single word to his opponent. "Block all frequencies and wipe him out of space. That will teach all pirates a lesson to threaten civilians when they deal with me." He said and folded his arms. "Blue and Green Squadron from the left flank. Torpedoes and Batteries on full power on the ships right flank." He assumed they would have no problem cutting an ancient Dragon off communications, but even if they had the smart but amateurish pirate had misunderstood the most basic rules of capital ships. They were very different. He could contact his ship once it came out of hyperspace, surely. But this was a Hapan Battle Dragon. Even the most updated versions were terribly slow compared to the Ascendancy. Pest would get to Timmel, allow his marines to take over whatever Ground Facility was down there and probably still have to wait an hour until their Dragon would finally arrive.

Shacking his head, he watched the Pirate go down and ordered the Romar and Starzi to enter the remaining Dragon with their Marines. Maximum caution, shoot at the first sign of danger. These pirates had shown to be not honorable at all. If they played around, they would pay the price.

After having given these order digitally he opened a line to the Romar, anyway. "Arca." He addressed the Captain informally. "Impressive run." He said and killed it with a nod. He had chosen the Bothan and had yet to be dissappointed by his abilities. A perfect fit for his escort ship. And a very good addition to his own tactics.

Then he turned to Lorrel. The elder man had obviously seen something on the screen Pest, who had largely ignored it, had not and had taken steps to block communications first. He trusted Lorrel in these things. He had served on all kinds of Captial ships. Pest had come from a fighter. His perspective was often another one. "Get Yellow Squadron and the Bombers back into our hangar. Just in case we need to jump fast, I want them with us." He said. "All others stay here under Arcas control, in that case." Folding his arms he turned to his personal attachée. He hated having one but sometimes the man came in handy. "I think it would not be totally disrespectful, to have a cup of Chandrilan Tea now?" He asked and smiled. He would drink it, while watching the remains of the defeated Dragon glow out in the galaxy.

Turning to the Captain, he raised a brow to ask if he wanted any. He did not feel overly victorious. He felt no pride. Actually he was not even done. But he felt a cetain satisfaction, that the surviving Pirates would soon begin to whisper in their prison cells of the incredible power of the new line of ships out there. Such rumors would probably save millions more than any actual patrol.

IC: Lord Sallacine
Insider pod, Senate chambers, CoruscantSallacine had been bathing in his thoughts of the events of the day to the degree where his eyes briefly shut, before they quickly snapped open as he dragged his attention, once more, to the intriacies of politics; and as part of that, of course, he surveyed the Senate, ever watchful.

Perceptive as always, Sallacine took note of the rapid exit of the Chiss representative. The young nobleman frowned, his angular features accentuating the seeming glower he directed at the empty Chiss pod as his own pod, the pod of the 'Insiders,' docked with the edge of the chamber.

Is he planning something... or attempting to avoid something? Another motion, perhaps? Sallacine had no further time to ponder as shouts rang loud and clear throughout the cavernous chamber. Sallacine, his posture previously relaxed, instantly snapped into attention as a man rushed the pod, stabbing at a nearby waitress and even Cadriaan, who had shown unusual bravery in stepping forward to face the man. Sallacine barely caught the man's mad ramblings as his hand dived to his left wristband and drew a ceremonial, gold-plated but still lethal and functioning Echani vibroblade. Rising from his seat and twisting around, Sallacine was briefly shoved back, towards the console and the edge of the pod, by his own bodyguard, and then he was engulfed in fire.

Torrents of orange light, roiling in a thunderous storm of burning hot ragem tore through the crisp air of the Senate chamber, rending bodies and pods asunder. Briefly, the sickening smell of scorched flesh flashed and burnt in Sallacine's nostrils, and as he blinked, desperate to clear the white flash that had blinded him, he felt the world around him fall.

Briefly, memories of that time when his mother had taken him, as a child, to the Starbird Theme Park of Coruscant flashed before his eyes; the sensation of falling, of one's gut rising through one's chest, and the thrill of momentum and adrenaline, was one he had experienced on the Starbird's most infamous ride, and one he experienced now, and in that moment he knew the 'Insiders' pod was falling toward the Senate floor.

Without the kinetic shield that would protect the pod and it's inhabitants, impact with the floor could spell doom for them all.

When the white disappeared from his eyes, he realized in a flash that he was hanging on to the edge of the pod by his fingertips; the explosion had clearly jarred him loose, but he had managed to grab on, through sheer instinct it would seem. The impact with another pod - the lash of many eyes and brown flesh let him know in a split second that it had been the pod of the Malastare representatives - threatened to tear him loose, but Sallacine managed to keep a hold with one hand, using all of his might to swing his other arm around to hit the controls; to hit the single button that would activate the antipersonell shield.

As the hum of it activating sounded in his ears, Sallacine's strength fled him, and his fingers scraped along the edge of the pod until they were scraping air only, and then Sallacine fell, and fell, and fell...

Wind rushing past his ears. A cacophony of noise and fear. Flashes of memories... the good ones. The bad ones. Strange glimpses of two glowing red lights that had the appearance of malicious eyes...

And then a resounding CRACK! as Lord Sallacine hit the ground of the Senate chamber with resounding finality. Even if he had not instantly been cast into the abyss of unconsciousness, he would have had no time to roll clear as the pod, protecting those inside it thanks to the shield Sallacine had activate, crashed into the floor; crashed into Sallacine, the full weight of the structure, combined with the incredible force with which Sallacine had collided with the floor, cracking, splintering and shattering a hundred bones in Sallacine's body. Blood spurted out as if a hose had been turned on, but only briefly, before splattering onto the floor in a gory mess, leaving only a robe that had once been white,

OOC: Sinre has approved the below part an parcel from his position as Yun-Yuuzhan. . .I mean GM;)

IC: Brenn?ar Sha

Nar Shaddaa, Yuuzhan Vong Sector

The Yun?tchilat was not with his personal plans of vengeance this day. Instead whatever Yun?tchilat there was seemed to be nom?o-tu tchilat. Or rather the god?s did not smile on his choice of vengeance and instead garnered a salvation for his enemies sating their will to escape and survive.

Then, Yun-Ne?Shel was not one to condone the distortion of a life simply for such a thing as a warrior might, and Yun-Harla never had been high on his order of sacrifices despite her importance in his life. Some would of noticed such things, and so now it was against him that he did not pay her more attention in the portions he doled out in sacrifices. ?Fas!? he cursed at the iniquity of it all as the police ordered him to place his hands upon the ground. As if.

Praying a soft Izai ? a promise in the spirit of the promise to his goddess ? he noticed a door to his left open, and his people offering a way beyond the police?s reach. Yes, he understood. To life he was pledged to live and die, and to death was another?s task more surely set. To walk another?s path, like Kaya Kau?Yun Kiar was not for most but the few so called by Yun-Yuuzhan, not those dedicated to god and goddess? of life. Yes, for his attempt his life jeopardized, and once more he was glad he had not stolen away with that worldship to parts then Unknown. For his paths could not stand that which he that led them had preached, as the present moment so gave testament.

Still, as he turned and sprinted to the door he had to wonder whatever happened to the Yuntchilat Vong. Perhaps he would check the databases once he was once more established. As was he was relegated to the gear upon his body and the small cache he had of similar tools and nothing large enough to defer a days time to such a curiosity as this that flitted across his mind. Maybe in a Ket.

?Zhaetor-zhae Yun?o khot.? he called out to those two who opened the door for him, for they truly were a glorious showing of the gods and beloved to his sight. Yes, ?twas better to meet the Hutts on his own choosing then on that of the ?police? who would spin it anyway they so chose.

The police opened fire, struggling to hit Brenn'ar through the youths, whom were in various degrees of distraction, swaying and generally being irritating. One was nicked, and fell, but generally they failed to hit anything - being police on the Hutt payroll and a bit worse for wear with regards to their weight, if you know what I mean. The two cloaked individuals shut the door, and gestured Brenn'ar to follow them. One of them withdrew a gnullith from his mouth - the sex of the human was obvious enough - and choked, before placing it in a pocket. He looked at Brenn'ar and shrugged. "It obscures my voice enough to confuse the tech."

They diverted to a man-hole when they reached the other side of the building, and they made their way down various warrens, the human falling behind Brenn'ar while the other robed individual made his way forward. In a few twists, and turns, they were in a wide area, with various young and elderly Yuuzhan Vong nearby. The individual at the front turned around, revealing that he was Yuuzhan Vong - if that wasn't evident by his height. But his face was Shamed - Extolled - and that much was evident to any non-Yuuzhan Vong. His voice was guttural, and he gestured to Brenn'ar. "You will have no need of a gablith down here, my friend."

As the other had given him advice of his disguise he nodded as he re-secured the sensislug into it?s Sclipune that was designed with the Ooglith to be an abdomen pocket. Nodding his understanding to the other he contemplated whether or not this grace from goddess would withstand his misaligned ooglith.

"Ovan," the human responded to the Yuuzhan Vong, his tousled hair waving as his hood fell away. The Yuuzhan Vong shifted his gesture. "Go and check t

Admiral Pest?s attaché smiled, amused, already holding under one hand a tray, with said Chandrilan tea upon it, and beside it was a datapad. ?As requested, Admiral ? with a datapad storing the non-essential comm. transmissions that came in during the battle.?

The attaché carried on, summarising the data received, as he did, so Pest would have a general feel for the updates even if had his own focus. ?Most of them are purely requisition responses, sir, confirming the next shipment of fuel and supplies will be ready for us in the Corellian system shortly, to be provided by Solan Enterprises. However, there is one thing of note -.?

In the backdrop, the pirate flag Battle Dragon exploded, under a barrage of fire from the Ascendancy, and the second Dragon was fighting a losing battle against the Romar and Stazi as the frigates systematically took out gun emplacements, screening the shuttles with their bulk. Within moments the Dragon would be Republic property. The Ascendancy peeled around, and buried itself into hyperspace, more of a shudder coming from that manoeuvre than any of the sporadic turbolaser fire which had been hurled at them.

Allowing the flare of the destroyed Dragon to dissipate, the Admiral?s aide continued. ?A communiqué has been issued by the Council, which was forwarded to the Chancellor and his Imperial Majesty, and also to the military. Apparently a Jedi Watchman by the name of Semaj Calal has gone rogue and killed a Sith on Sturges.?

The file photo of the Jedi came up.

[image=http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090213151704/starwars/images/e/ef/Meditate_SWGTCG.jpg]

?There isn?t a date-stamp on when the Watchman killed Darth Venti, so it appears to be another one of those prophecies handed down by the Council ? undoubtedly from Solo himself.? The aide didn?t manage to keep the sarcasm out of his tone, and a few crewmembers sniggered, quietly.

Captain Lorrel finally strode up, and accepted a cup. The aide poured a cup for the Captain, and the older gentleman shrugged. ?If they?re killing each other, who cares? I?d sooner be rid of both the Light Watch and the Dark Watch.?

Lorrel looked to the Admiral, for a moment. ?As a note, sir, I have prepped our two elite squads and Colonel Shepard has requested confirmation of any specific orders you have for him. He has set up four shuttles, two of which are carrying several marines who have requested that they be deployed on this engagement.?

Translation: the marines, ordinarily assigned to protect the ship, were getting itchy and wanted to help out, and, as they put it, ?get some ground beneath their feet?. Nothing was more unnatural to a soldier than a permanent stay aboard a warship.

The aide had a pained look on his face, clearly considering the Captain?s comment about the Watches to be a bit too far, even in military circles.

In a moment, the rest of them were charging, and in those close quarters the Tofs were slaughtered, a pair running back towards the closest tower. name stepped forward, pepping them with blasters, and taking down one ? only for the last one to find the doors slammed unceremoniously shut in-front of him. The Tof rebounded off, and began scrabbling with his shirt.

It was half a second too slow, taking the Tof in the chest but not before his hand clasped on the deadmans switch ? and as soon as he died the bomb exploded, shredding him and sending the squad hurling back. Well that was odd.

That was all that Zayden could think of at the what he had to assume was a hallucination. He had seen the thermal detonator drop from the limp hand of he Tof and, instinctively, he had jerked back, trying to get as much distance from it as possible before-

Too late. Zayden felt what could only be a sledgehammer smacking into him, knocking him back while his vision was filled with light and fire. And then his sight had cleared and he found himself floating without his armor and staring upon the face of a disheveled looking man. Not a Mandalorian and certainly not a Tof just...a regular human male that would find himself out of place on Teravi. The place where Zayden was supposed to be right now-

Oh wait there he went. After a flash of light that had been as bright as the detonator, the Mandalorian found himself on the ground, the sun of Teravi shining directly in his eyes through the his HUD that blinked and blared warnings at him. Groaning to himself at the headache that they were only causing, the large Mando brought himself unsteadily to his feet before taking a look around, trying to get his bearings and get back to the fighting. Banishing all thought of that hallucination that he had just bore witness to, Zayden marched towards the doors where the rest of Ordo Squad were at, trying to pry them open.

?Zayden, how?s your beskad on doors?"

While the rest of Ordo joked at what they assumed was a crazy idea, Zayden looked down at the beskad that he clutched in his hands before looking at the durasteel doors; battered from the fighting and the Mandalorians' attempts to pry them open. He looked down at his beskad again, then back at the doors, until finally Zayden shrugged to himself and, pointing his weapon straight ahead, he charged forward. There was no way that beskar was giving way before durasteel and as the point of the blade slammed into where the durasteel doors met, Zayden pushed against the hilt, jiggling the blade a bit as he wedged his beskad between the doors.

His muscles flexing at the exertion, Zayden now pulled and pushed against the hilt of his jammed beskad, doing what he could with blade and muscle against the gyros and servos of the locked door. Miraculously, it worked. The Mandalorian felt the doors give way against such brute force, the doors parting a few inches. In a display of Mandalorian stubbornness and power, Zayden now wedged his hands between the partly doors and, with ever fiber of his being, pulled. Jaw clenching, muscles flexing, a growl at his throat, the giant Mandalorian sought to pull the doors open with his bare hands.

He couldn't do it by himself of course and it was only with the help of the other members of Ordo Squad that something within the doors broke. Having been closed a moment ago, the doors now opened wide open and Zayden was barely able to have a second to take note of the closed space of the tower before a blaster bolt hit him in the chest. With another growl Zayden was forced to take a step back...then two at the blow to his chest. But then his boots dug solidly into the ground and Zayden's T-shaped visor focused dangerously at the open doors and who had dared to actually shoot him. A hand drifting behind his back, the Mandalorian drew out his shotgun.

There was nothing subtle to what he did next. Course, when had he been subtle at any point in this battle? Subtlety wasn't part of being a Mandalorian. Just straight, overwhelming power.

Shotguns worked well at doing that. Pointing the weapon forward, Zayden pressed down on the trigger. The shotgun bucked in his arms but Zayden held it steadily forward as the drum magazine of the weapon worked, spitting out spent shell casings before spinning and loading more as the shotgun boomed in a loud but steady rhythm. Leading the charge, Zayden stepped into the tower, the shotgun continuing to boom in his hands, each shell sending out a packet of pure, solid shot that slammed into whatever Tof that happened to be

Then dig up everything you can on this Darth Venti, I have a feeling I?m being set up for something and I have no clue why I?m the target. I need to get to the bottom of this, and quickly.?

I am now completely on my own. The Jedi will give me no quarter, the Sith will be calling for my head as payment for Venti, and the Government will be aiding them in every way possible.

?I have a feeling we just might be making our way over to B-Sector to meet up with some Roughneks to arrange some transportation.?

IC: Loriana Vendra aka Lady Agape
Jabiim system, Jabiim, Old Town, Crumbling Defense Tower

Freezing while leaning halfway over, there was a vision running through her mind. It was a memory of the Gen'dai, which shouldn't have happened at this point so far as she knew. But it was one of the reasons she didn't want to drain another beings life. Other than the sheer ickiness factor and the addiction that could come of it. I will NOT become a vampire.

Loriana was standing behind the Gen'dai and looking at a hologram of a Zeltron in some rather pompous looking robes. Obviously it was someone important. His red hair was interesting with the skin color, and with the green robes it was sort of nauseating. To her right a very tall hooded figure spoke softly. A decidedly creepy feeling emanated from him, especially when what he was saying registered. Experiments? Being the focus of an experiment being done by him is... A shudder ran down her back as the cloaked being, a man she thought, talked about abduction.

All she could do was feel a bit sorry for whoever the Zeltron was, but she didn't anticipate ever running into him. Maybe she could warn him if they ever did. Lady Agape snorted. How a memory from a dead thing had forced itself on her was of a much greater concern, and Loriana agreed.

Centi had finally woke up, and the reactionary Force Lightning made Loriana jump back. "Watch it!" And the building shuddered again, and she had to focus on her balance while Centi seemed to come back to himself. The hiss and glare he sent her way made her frown. Ingrate. Last time I save him. Centi then explained what they needed to do, which was go down to the base of a collapsing building and insure that a generator was going to be destroyed. Loriana arched any eyebrow at him, but didn't say anything as his commlink beeped. Five minutes.

Brows knitting together, Loriana considered the situation as Centi pointed his hands at her feet, which made her jump back. As she glared at him, Centi at least did shift his aim to her left and blew a hole in the floor. He wants to go floor by floor? This... is huge! That'll take forever. Centi told her to follow, and she completely ignored him remembering that she had some thermal detonators along with her other grenades. There has to be an easier way... like a Turbolift shaft.

Looking around, Loriana tried to figure out where one might be located when one opened right in front of her with a guard pulling up his blaster rifle and pointing it at her. In reflex, Loriana Force shoved him into the back of the lift, breaking his neck.

Turning back to the hole, and pulling out the thermal detonators, she called out, "Centi!" She moved over the hole and held the detonators over them. "I think I have an easier answer." A wolfish grin spread across her face as she waited for him to reply.

Centi actually went out of his way to pivot, deflecting a dozen shots with a lightsaber, and he levitated back up. Centi looked over, and, grudgingly, conceded the point. "You think far too literally, Agape. But I suppose I approve." He focused his attention on deflections, and the room below fell silent. He levitated himself back up to her level, and brought with him a struggling soldier.

"For you. To drain on. I heard that using Force drain can wear you out..." Centi smiled. "That is what you did to the Gen'dai, right?"

Staring at the soldier for a moment, Loriana shook her head. "Life." She shuddered slightly, and a look of desire flashed through her eyes. It might even be enough to make Centi uneasy. Turning away, "I'm fine."

"You look it," said Centi. "Well, I may as well kill the soldier then. Shame to see it go to waste."

Loriana shrugged and ignored it as Centi broke the man's neck. She winced slightly, but there was no way Centi would know it. Walking over to the lift, she tossed one of the detonators over her shoulder to him, "I figure three minutes should be plenty for us to get out of here. Jus

IC: Senator Kal Verin
Mid Rim, Iridonia System

Kal sped away with all the speed he could muster to his personal vessel and immediately set his course for Iridonia. If anyone would be able to help him figure out what was going on, his old friend Drel Fazan could, he was the best at what he did, and what he did was clear up even the most distorted of images, got Kal out of several bad spots when he was confused for "that other comely Zeltron with the blue hair playing with a vibrosword". True Drel could always distort and image just as easily, but the only times Kal did that was when he had Drel touch up his campaign adds by removing some of the facial bruises he'd sustained from a bar brawl the night prior to making them.

His path took him along the Gordian Reach and onto the Hydian Way and then out past Shili to a straight shot to Iridonia where he'd land on the southernmost point of the capitol city.

"Hey Drel, you awake buddy?" Kal asked over his long range holocom, he had it wired to tap into the holonet channels so it would actually reach Iridonia without too much interference. "I have a request for you? Did you get a recording of Project Lightsaber? I need you to clear something up for me as only you can." Kal said pressing his controls to prepare for the shift over to the area between the Hydian and Iridionia. "I'll be landing in the southern area of your neighborhood so be ready to have some company. I'll be there in a few hours, managed to have that guy you told me about improve my engines, they work wonderfully." Kal added, still waiting for a response from his old pal.

Drel was on the line instantly, even though the chrono stated it was later local time. "I grabbed a download of the recording you swiped, yes, Kal, but it really doesn't make a lot of sense. The image is degrading all the time, I have to keep transferring it from memory pack to pack. Your copy will have been eliminated, I bet - its self-erasing, which makes no sense whatsoever. I can't cross-reference it, as such, so I'm trying to copy it down manually. So far it looks like a... half-sphere? Two-thirds of a sphere? Complete with tentacles. But it doesn't make any sense - scale wise, its several dozen kilometers across."

Unfortunately, a ship had emerged from hyperspace behind Kal, following in his wake. It was painted in the crimsons of the Chancellor's Royal Guard, those Mandalorians who were in his personal guard, which was never a good thing. Drel carried on speaking, "I don't think you'll have had chance to see this, but you need to see this, too. I'll catch you on the flip side." As the link connected, Drel cut off, and the video - a news report - began to play.

- the explosion in the Senate chambers seems to have been aimed at one person. Lord Sallacine of Coruscant, who bravely saved his fellow noblemen and Moffs in the suicide attack by activating the personal shield of their falling Senatorial pod, resulting in severe injuries for himself. Medical droids are stabilising the Lord now, who not ten minutes ago spoke in favour of a vote to allow the Chiss access to the Republic Archives -

The discussion continued, providing a file photo of Lord Sallacine, but sensors kicked in as the Guardsman fighter craft accelerated, cutting off the feed and issuing a loud warning signal.

"The bloody?!" Kal exclaimed as the two fighters flew out and around him cutting him off entirely. He pulled back his ship and slowly began to dive down lower getting out of their flight path. "What in the name of the Force is going on here?" he asked as he began his further decent to the planet below. In a few short hours he was only a couple city blocks from Drel's domicile, and more annoyed than could be imagined. "Did those blasted bucket-heads not see the Republic insignia? Or did they intend to annoy me?" Kal said under his breath as he approached the small complex of apartments that Drel resided in.

Nar Shadda, Yuuzhan Vong Sector, somewhere

The silence and checking of the dead by the child too young in his opinion to be out of a crèche was. . .disturbing. The words of the degrading skeletal Yuuzhan Vong woman were distressing. If he had been Human, Arkanian, or twice a dozen other species he would of buried his face in his hands at this condemning pronouncement. Instead he merely froze were he stood and stared at them.

The scream saved him from uttering his own, perhaps Yun-Ne?Shel was giving him at least that much relief whilst punishing him. What for now was beyond him as a kill in defense of one?s life Yun-Ne?Shel would not shun, yet perhaps his punishment truly was to be set before Yun-Shuno to aid those under him by placing him over them. Possible, but not preferable.

She remained low, and closed her eyes. ?That would be Ovan, the human, my liege.? The screams redoubled, reverberating down the pipe-tunnels, echoing into the caves and back out, towards the entrances.

His night kept bringing the pain, even if not physical he welcomed what solace it brought.

Ovan tumbled into the room, scrabbling at his throat, and looking pained. ?Help me, pain so great -?

The woman spoke again. ?Nial implanted surge coral into his neck. It will subside, if you bond with it, my liege, as Ovan was.? Or, of course, it could be removed, she left unstated, and Ovan?s screams were becoming a liability, so he could just be killed, if it came to it.

Stepping forward he gave a sharp whipping whack to the back of the humans head to knock it into oblivion with the butt of the coufee he had taken from her hands. Once unconscious he would remove the coral from Ovan, if Ovan died it must have been part of the will of the Yun?o. Either way the problem was solved, and he would be linked to no one by anything.

?I need no slaves. You shall need to inform me of our situation as one might an Intendant of Yun-Shuno for you sent.? He had no plans of staying with these people but he could lay out a plan for them to aid themselves and make sure a few supplies made their way here. For the mixed blessing they were to him, he owed them this much in the least lest he anger his Yun?o by shirking the responsibilities heaped upon his penance.

IC: Jak Solan
Aboard the Night Watch, Bothawui, Bothan System

His last thoughts consisted of the thrill of battle - the Twi'lek and himself hitting the ground with great force as they struggled for control. It was a blurry kaleidoscope of the drab landscape, limbs and the occasional lekku as Jak tried to force the blade of the knife down upon his foe. At one point, he was mere inches from sending her to the ninth level of hell when the explosion hit. After that, there was nothing but darkness.

Or, near darkness...

The dark void he now saw before his eyes swirled and morphed into a distant cluster of stars. Soon, the very stars themselves morphed into something else - humanoid in shape with a life of its own. It took a moment to realize that the shape was in fact a woman, but she was facing away and reaching outward...outward to a nobleman? Jak tried to blink and shake his head of the vision to no avail. Things only continued to evolve.

A thick cloak of complete darkness soon blocked his view of the preceding scene. Jak instinctively tried to reach out to grab them from certain doom, but it was no use. Both faded away from view and in their place, a purple flare illuminated space around him. That's when Jak realized he wasn't alone. Another man had been nearby with dark skin and a hard look to his eyes. He had been observing the same series of events and it was clear from his expression that he was just as confused as Jak was.

Jak had no recollection of actually meeting the other man in his travels and before he could attempt to try and communicate with him, he disappeared. And soon, the rest of the visage followed suite, fading away on the sound of a voice calling his name. It started out soft, almost like a distant echo, before steadily growing stronger and more urgent until it was loud enough to identify as Cyn.

With a groan, Jak forced his eyes open and immediately became aware of the painful throbbing at the base of his skull. That's when he remembered the force of the explosion and how it had sent him across the cabin until he had smacked headfirst into the bulkhead. No wonder he had been subject to strange and vivid dreams...probably an early sign that he was suffering from a minor concussion.

Whatever the case, Jak soon realized that it would be the least of his worries. The Twi'lek had apparently suffered no harm during the explosion and she was now straddling him, her hand lifted in the air as she prepared to drive the point of his vibroblade into the flesh of his brow.

Jak gritted his teeth to suppress both his surprise and the throbbing of his head as he instinctively reached for his blaster and rolled to avoid the imminent danger. Although he was quick on the draw and managed to pin a blaster bolt into her torso, he hadn't been able to come out of it unscathed. He hadn't been fast enough to avoid her downward thrust and the tip of the vibrating blade had gouged into the skin around the area of his left eye.

With a startled cry, Jak came out of his roll and began to claw at his face, trying to fight against the constant pain that was blossoming from the area of his eye.

Admiral Pest
The Ascendancy

He studied the Jedi and listened to his Captains opinion. Lorrel knew Pest agreed. It was just he could not agrre officialy. So he showed his agreement by saying nothing, when he should have called his Captain to order. "Well, how far away is Sturges? I don´t think I ever heard of that planet." Pest said, than added smiling. "Maybe I fought there, but I certainly never heard of it."

He watched last reports of the battle with a look to the side and then turned back to his tea. Everything was under control. Almost too much for his taste. It had the bitter side-taste of someone making them believe everything was okay.

?As a note, sir, I have prepped our two elite squads and Colonel Shepard has requested confirmation of any specific orders you have for him. He has set up four shuttles, two of which are carrying several marines who have requested that they be deployed on this engagement.? Pest smiled. Shepard was the right man for such missions. a one man fighting machine. And he looked like one. Which meant he barely had to use force. "Open a channel, please."

Pest turned back to his console and handed his empty cup of tea to his Attachée. "Shepard, you´ve been crying so much that you don´t see any action, I expect nothing but a flawless operation from you, understood?" Pest began his call with the informal half ironic comment. Then he stretched. "We took care of their big stuff, but nobody knows what we expect and how fierce the opposition is. You lead a team in and try to take prisoners, okay? But no risk. If they shoot, shoot back. If too many shoot, retreat. Then we have not a ship called a Star Destroyer for nothing, you get it? I don´t want anymore casualties. And Shepard, we might find woman and children there. If so, don´t let anything happen to them. We will have a full alert medical station ready up here for you. Good hunt. And have fun." he waited for Shepards response and ended with the usual "Admiral out."

Then he walked back to the main bridge, away from the part outfitted as a command post and killed the time until they arrived by studying comm-protocols. When they were on a mission he did not use his privilege to get a nap, while his soldiers worked. They stood together, worked together and hell, he would not sleep while these youngsters ruined his reputation as the hardest working bastard in the fleet.
