    SPOILER WARNING
    SPOILER WARNING

Dont know if this has been mentioned but I would like to see the KOTOR III take a somewhat different approach when it comes to story and missions.

How about one of your past PC (Exile or Revan)becomes head of the new Jedi Academy and your new PC, new or former NPC (Handmaiden Mira, Atton etc)are either Jedi Knights or fellow Jedi Masters depending on their skill of course. There will be a main story but the bulk of the game will be many seperate missions that your sent on by the "New Jedi Council". In order to restore order in the galaxy, repair the Republic and stop the iminent Sith threat. Also in between times deal with the main story.

I have more on this but I'll post later after hearing your opinions on this

After playing both KOTORs and loving and cherishing every moment, I have been dreaming of KOTOR 3. I can barely go to sleep some times.

    Here are my hopes:

    - The Jedi and Sith are rebuilding, you can choose to aid one and eliminate the other

    - Instead of "designing your ship, throughout the game you get 3 or 4 ships you can choose from, maybe an extra badass one you can buy, of course the Ebon Hawk can always be used, but other ships would be cool

    - you get to continue to play as either the Exile or Revan, this would elimate the selectable species, but it would be freaking cool

    - selectable species: human, twi'lek, zabrak, nikto, mon calamari, other sentients that speak basic (however this could screw up the game's storyline and romances, so it might not be good,

    - Revan, the Exile, Bastilla, Carth, and most of the characters from the first two games return and can join your party, along with new characters (some must join becuase of storyline)

    - Less glitches

    - More planets (Coruscant, Alderaan, Ryloth, Corellia, Malastare, maybe 1 or 2 returning planets)

    - More space turret gunner mini games, there were several in Kotor 1, but in Kotor 2 there were none :(

    - More feats and skills ( I was glad because there were SO MANY new feats in Kotor 2)

    - more gambling games besides pazaak, they need to have sabacc (star wars poker), and dejarik (star wars chess), this way they can have casinos on some planets and tournaments

    - 2 player pazaak (and if sabacc and dejarik are included, make them multiplayable too)

    - better swoop bike racing along with maybe speeder and/or pod racing

    - no more new lightsaber colors

    - more bounties (some will make it necessary to navigate into astroid fields or go to space stations)

    - more story and a large quest involving HK-47 and the HK-50s, who continue to hunt the Exile

I'll come up with more later.

i like the idea of multiplayer mini games like pazzack but it would be cool to make kotor 3 co-op and u both chose ur pathand stuff it would be cool and u could sploit up and do diferent planets at different times with the splot screen that would be cool though it would be really tough to do

im glad i learned how to do markup codes now i need to practise highloghting

    How about this:

You are a Republic Soldier on a Capital Ship, you have been sent to Malachor V to rescue the Exile, by Carth. Bastalia is leading the rescue operation. You battle, storm beasts and stuff like that. You find the wreckage of the Ebon Hawk. You search the wreckage, you find the Exile, clinging for life, some of the other passengers are dead, others severily wounded. You find Bao-Dur, alive, and awake. You find out that GO-TO has destroyed the Remote. You must find GO-TO, destroy it, and activate the Shadow Generator. You activate it and destroy Malachor V. You barely make it off the planet alive. You have loaded all of the Ebon Hawk's cargo and passengers into the Capital Ship.

You then arrive at Telos and meet with Carth. The Exile is still clinging for life. You and Carth discuss the Exile, Revan, and the Mandalorian Wars. Carth informs you about how Revan has gone to seek out whoever provoked the Mandalorians to make war.

Bastalia feels that the situation must be discussed with the Jedi Council on Courascant. You take the Exile with you, and the two droids found on the Ebon Hawk.

On Courascant, you discover that the Exile cut himself off from the Force to prevent himself from destroying the Force.

You bring T-3 before the council, who then reveals that he downloaded the coordinates of Revan's journey from the Ebon Hawk.

The Council sends you on a mission to discover who provoked the Mandalorians to make war, and to find Revan. The Council also believes that you should be trained as a Jedi, and Bastalia should be your master.

You begin your mission on Courascant, and your first step is to purchase a ship. The Council gave you X amount of credits to buy it with. On Courascant you could do side quests to get a deal on a ship. You will be able to have several different choices on purchasing a ship. On Courascant you may also pick up a party member.

You then leave Courascant with Bastalia, T-3, HK-47, and another party member on your ship. T-3 loads the planets onto the ship's navacomputer. The planets could be: Alderaen, Naboo, Hoth, Rhen-Var, Dagobah, or some made-up planet. I really feel we need a lava planet in this game.

On your way to your first planet, you have a vision of Revan fighting a Sith Lord. You see the Sith Lord defeat Revan and take him prisoner. Througout the game, the Sith Lord feels your presence, as you grow stronger in the force. His plan is so close to being completed, he does not need any interfearance. He puts a bounty on your head. You also learned it is he that provoked the Mandalorians. You also learn that this Sith Lord was once Revan's master.

At the end of the game, the Sith Lord unites the other Sith Lords, and makes a strike into the heart of the Republic, at Courescant. You board his ship, and rescue Revan. You, Bastalia, and Revan then go to the bridge and show the Sith Lord who is boss. I don't know, perhaps the Sith Lord could be Darth Nihilus, maybe his spirit survived KOTOR II. Of course, we would have more background on Darth Nihilus. That would be cool if Darth Nihilus was Revan's former Master.

Of course, all of this is based on Lightside Endings for both games. Who knows what the story would be with different ending combinations.

    Some problems with your scenario:

You find the wreckage of the Ebon Hawk. You search the wreckage, you find the Exile, clinging for life

The exile is very alive and well on Malachor in KOTOR II, and not on the Ebon Hawk.

You must find GO-TO, destroy it, and activate the Shadow Generator.

In the LS game, the generator is activated and Malachor is destroyed. You escape on the Ebon Hawk.

You then arrive at Telos and meet with Carth. The Exile is still clinging for life.

If you play KOTOR II darkside, Carth is dead/still on the Unknown world from KOTOR. Once again, the Exile wouldn't be in this condition. It would also require a set gender/face for the exile.

Bastalia feels that the situation must be discussed with the Jedi Council on Courascant. You take the Exile with you, and the two droids found on the Ebon Hawk.

Bastila, T3, and HK-47 would all be at least level 20 at this point in time. To make this work, you would have to have them start out at a low level. That wouldn't make any sense.

hat would be cool if Darth Nihilus was Revan's former Master.

    Kreia was Revan's master.

Of course, all of this is based on Lightside Endings for both games. Who knows what the story would be with different ending combinations.

That discounts half of the first two games. The developers wouldn't do that.

Aside from the continuity errors, it would be a good story right?

Bastila, T3, and HK-47 would all be at least level 20 at this point in time. To make this work, you would have to have them start out at a low level. That wouldn't make any sense.

T-3 and HK-47 were in KOTOR I & II. When you started KOTOR II, they started at Level 1. How would that be any different than what I said?

    Kreia was Revan's master

I don't remember that part, does she say that in KOTOR II?

In the LS game, the generator is activated and Malachor is destroyed. You escape on the Ebon Hawk.

Alright, scratch that part. Have the beginning be you are looking for the Exile, and you find the Ebon Hawk badly damaged. (It could've gotten hit when the place was destroyed). The Exile would be alive and well, but he still cut himself off from the force.

If you play KOTOR II darkside, Carth is dead/still on the Unknown world from KOTOR. Once again, the Exile wouldn't be in this condition. It would also require a set gender/face for the exile.

I said my plot summary was based on lightside endings for both games.

T-3 and HK-47 were in KOTOR I & II. When you started KOTOR II, they started at Level 1. How would that be any different than what I said?

HK-47 was in several pieces and lost most of his assasination skills, T3 had a memory wipe shortly before peragus. At least T3 (if not HK as well) was functional at the end of KOTOR II, because he was the only one with access to the navicomputer, and the Hawk jumped to hyperspace in the end cutscene.

don't remember that part, does she say that in KOTOR II?

    Yes.

Alright, scratch that part. Have the beginning be you are looking for the Exile, and you find the Ebon Hawk badly damaged. (It could've gotten hit when the place was destroyed). The Exile would be alive and well, but he still cut himself off from the force.

Since the Exile was on the Hawk (which was still working for some reason), it would require both the exile, the ship, and all its passengers to go missing. Presumably, they went chasing after Revan.

The only way for someone new to find out about Revan's path is to check Atris' archives, since she downloaded T3's memory.

I hope that the game leads on to find the true mystery of the "True Sith", what Revan went looking for, I could care less about other ships, and stuff like that. The same gameplay, same or better customization, but continue the story. I'm interested in the true sith species, and where Revan really went.

I want the ability to get your whole party fighting as NPC's in certain portions of the game. It was kind of lame how your party was desperate to lay down their lives for you, yet only two at a time agree to help you, even in dire emergencies.

i do not know about DS ending, i am currently working on it. But i do know that no matter what exile get's off of Malachore V(spelling, sorry) safely, it shows it. Also they reeeeaaaally need to finish THIS story, they left it on such a big cliff-hanger it made me want to cry. You can not have the exile lose connection with the force AGAIN. and it seems a lot of this depends upon what paths are taken in both former games which is VERY complicated to do. also, everyone may think it is all fine and dandy to custimize your face and lightsaber, but it doesn't really affect gameplay. i am worried more about a nice story and no more glitches. also, the light to dark face progression would be harder to do graphically with 1000 variables for your face.

also, no more force powers, more battle variation. and i liked the Dxun party splitting up thing, very kool.

THIS MAY HAVE SOME SERIOUS SPOILERS, AVERT YOUR GAZE NON-GAME BEATERS

First, I do not know what happens when you play DS on kotor 2. Do you leave with Traya? (w/e) that may affect this story idea. One thing all the ideas I have read don?t take into account is the future lives of the people you train to be Jedi?s in II. I know when you play LS that you can have Han Harr live and he will hunt Mira through all the future. The more I think about it the less feasible to make a third game. There are too many choices which they left open in II that you can?t just work out in dialogue with NPCs. So the only possible way it would work is have your story disconnected from the people surrounding the Exile?s story, or only continuing as the exile, and having some weird character creation process in which you decide what you did in the last game.
Revan is far too powerful to let you use him/her in your party. And what happened to the fact that Bastiela (w/e) can be killed in the first one as well as Carth? And I recall someone commenting that there should be MORE choices because RPGs are all about choices. Do you have any idea how hard it is just to make it with the choices it has now? Sooooo many lines of dialogue, which gets annoying to listen to the more times you play it through (maybe there should be a way to skip entire conversations?not really possible though). So anyways?

Revan is captured by unknown force (sith?) and once more forgets his/her past. Though he/she still recalls his/her Jedi training he/she has forgotten his/her mission. So therefore you have a Jedi/Sith Master wandering space with no recollection of his/her past. The player gets to control the decisions Revan makes, but does not use him/her as a playable character. Revan ends up traversing the galaxy, being so powerful, he/she changes galactic events, for good or evil. Thus Revan may become a Sith Lord, or Jedi Master, or just some powerful person in between.

Maybe it could have this, very similar: we do not know this powerful Jedi/Sith without a past is Revan, but for some reason we are controlling what they choose. OR, Exile finds Revan and we have a pair of forgetful Jedi/Sith traveling together influencing events.

Instead Bastiela has started training a Jedi apprentice on Corrusant (w/e), and this is our player. She has been training this new Jedi to help her find Revan, and/or the exile. The way we decide how the past played out: Bastiela has gathered the Exile?s and Revan?s close party and informs our Jedi of both of their pasts. In some way or another you learn of this great Jedi/Sith(s) that has been going from world to world, and thus Bastiela wishes you, and whatever party you gather to investigate the path of touched worlds Revan (and Exile) walk(s) upon. With every world you go to you seem to get closer, but they are a step ahead of you.

Definite characters that CAN be used in some way (people that don?t die, or that you use no matter what): Bao Dur, Disciple, Aton, HK-47, T3 (any others?). Additional party members could be: some soldier that worked under Carth (Female Soldier?!), T3, HK-47.

PLEASE tell me of any mistakes, things that should be changed, or anything else you want to tell me. I also don?t know ALL the story possibilities for both of the KOTORs though I beat the 1st three or four times and the 2nd once.

I think an idea might be to start out as a padawan on Coruscant (lightside KOTOR II ending), or an apprentice at Trayus (darkside KOTOR II ending). It could start out with your PC in the med bay attending to a student who got knocked around after a particularly intense training match. The student wakes up and asks where he is. Your choices could be something like:
"Relax, you're at the Trayus Academy on Malachor V."
"Relax, you're at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant."
"Just shut up and stay out of my way." (default Coruscant)
"Shh, you've had a rough time, rest a bit." (default Coruscant)

You get sent on missions around the Temple/Academy and learn the game system (like the KOTOR II prologue), and get a bit into the story.

If you're on Trayus, you could get sent out to the surface, and find the ruins of the Ebon Hawk, and find T3. If you're on Coruscant, you get assigned to repair a ship in the hangar to repair a damaged ship. In this scenario, you could find your way to a used parts shop and find T3. In both cases, you find the Hologram about Revan and report it to the leaders of you're training center.

The council decides to act on this and you begin your quest to find out where Revan went.

The council assigns the student you met in the med bay to go with you, so he and T3 join your party.

If you're on Coruscant, you get to take the ship you repaired in your quest, on Malachor, you take a refurbished Ebon Hawk.

This is just the beginning, and if you want me to continue my idea, just say so.

I would like to see more force powers like the one Kyp Durron uses on top of the massassi temple on yavin 4 in Champions of the Force, he flicks his wrist and Lukes lightsaber just freezes from the inside out destroying it.

    That would be cool.

And hooded cloaks and diferent lightsaber hilts.

n00b here, hello everybody, now for my 2cents

first of all. i am disappointed with the end of kotor2 darkside. that said- it was a good game and i need to replay some of it.

kotor 3 will see the return of revan and the exile, opposing forces, neither playable. just to be fair. they are smart, im sure they will figure out some way to hide the exile's face.

so you are just some bounty hunter or blockade runner guy with your very own alien copilot that is just boppin around in your own new cool ship, you are hired by some unknown high bidder to escort some creepy people to malachor and when you get there you start snooping around and you find who other than T3 while your new creepy employers are checking out the temple, you have to do some sort of run get this/do that type of mission with crashed ships or whatever and then you decide to be real curious and check the temple out and you get this goofy feeling (yeah its the force) and then your employers turn out to be working for the jedi council but these guys are mean... yadda yadda, they try and kill you, yadda yadda, you get in your ship and take this holocron that the jedi had found and go to coroscant (however the blick you spell that)

that is my ramble for the way it could start out, it makes sense in a way. and if anybody else wants me to continue, just ask or w/e

I don't. I'd rather have them have one player character and have the story branch out, like in the previous KOTOR games and the Jedi Knight series. However, I think it's likely that KOTOR III will be the final game of the KOTOR storyline, and then they'll start with something else -- based on the KOTOR engine, but set in a different time period. If that is the route they choose to take, the result of KOTOR III will have to be roughly the same whether you choose the light or dark side of the Force, with your character destroying the True Sith or at least greatly crippling them, possibly with some form of aid from Revan, the Exile, or the characters from the previous two games. Your character would have to disappear or die afterwards, as well. The engine could become as venerable as Final Fantasy (but without the hassle of having no continuity or originality whatsoever.)

More of my idea, if you don't mind me posting it:

T3?s damaged memory core made him follow all of your commands without question, but unfortunately also damaged his memory (and left him at level 1). So now instead of him not telling you things because he doesn?t want to, it?s because he can?t.

Now, we all remember that Atris downloaded T3?s records, right? Well, in order to recover it and find out where Revan went, you could need to travel to one of the planets where Atris kept stores of information, and plug in to it to recover T3?s memory.

All seems to be going well until you begin the download. You get a bit of information, but then someone attacks (not known who at this point in the game, but is one of the ?True Sith? Kreia mentioned) and sabotages the information. The resulting damage travels through the main CPU (or whatever they use) to other planets where Atris kept information and corrupts the information.

You fight the Sith, but lose and fall unconscious. When you wake up, you?re in the med bay and meet another member of your party (a thief who tried to get into Atris? records). The thief tells you her story and you can either agree to help her get free, or leave her there (if you decline, she stows aboard your ship when you leave).

When you?re back in space, you contact the council with the information. They ask you to go to the other planets and salvage what you can from the other libraries.

    More to come

Why not just start the next story as a definite character? You get a chance to pick out of six but each on has their own story depending on light side or dark side. Your choices would be any character that was force sensitive from the last game (Bau Dar, Mira, Handmaiden, Diciple, Atton or Visas). Choose your alighnment at the beginning according to your last game. Throughout the game you have choices to go from light to dark or light to dark.
