KSC Trip. 22 Nov

Hey.

Next meeting we'll do our KSC trip on the 22nd.

We'll meet in Titusville. Either at the Library or the KSC Visitor Center early in the morning.

Wow. Long time since I've been here. If I'm not working that day I'll be there.

Oops I did it again. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance yet again today. Apparently my heart rate dropped too low, and I had pressure on my heart. I was even turning blue around my lips. It wasn't fun.

But this trip will be.

I have a year pass from when we all went there last so I am good.

 

As for advance tickets, a few things:

1) I can get them, but I have to get them in advance from work. Since I won't be at work the week of the 17th, I'd have to get them no later than COB Friday, Nov. 14.

2) My last price list had them as about $6 off gate admission. This might be a little different now, since that list was made before they got the Astronaut Hall of Fame and now there are two different types of admission you can get (one "standard" one without the HOF, one with).

3) I have to pay for these tickets when I get them, so please only ask me to get one if you're certain you will be there. I have an annual pass so I have no need of a ticket someone wanted but then ended up not using.

4) PM me if you want more info and/or want one/some.

5) Unfortunately, these are more like "advance vouchers," meaning you'd still have to stand in the ticket line to exchange it for a ticket to get in. They'd be fully paid for, it's just a question of getting the correct piece of paper. Annoying, I know, but I can't do anything about that.

My friend wanted to know if you could still leave things in rememberance of the Columbia crew. Is there a memorial place where you can do so?

 

Um, I'm really not sure. It's possible they have a book you can sign (and I know there's a website where you can write condolences--I'll get the URL as soon as I can), but I don't think people are leaving things at the Mirror anymore. Also, there's a limit as to what you can bring inside since they search bags and send you through a metal detector.

Sorry that's not much help, but I don't know the answer.

PM me for my cell phone number. We will wait outside for at most 20 minutes and then we will go inside. You can always meet up with us if you are late!

The current plan is to leave around 4 or so and go find a nice restaurant and eat. Sound good?
