Kyle's BACK!

I among others had always thought that JKIII would take place during the New Jedi Order Timeframe and have Kyle fighting the Vong and I had always been pissed kyle had never been mentioned in NJO even though he is a bad-ass jedi master, well guess what, our prayers have been answered...
I just got my newest NJO novel and on page 21:

"Aside from Jaina, too many others were missing from this meeting: Tam-Azur Jamin, Octa Ramis, Kyle Katarn.."

This means:
a. Kyle is alive
b. Kyle is fighting the vong somewhere
c. JKIII can happen

Cool, if I'm not mistaken, a Jedi Oucast sequel or expansion pack or something has already been confirmed.

If I liked the NJO, I'd probably be happy if the expansion/new game was set on the NJO time... alas I'm not a big NJO fan, so I'm wishing for teh expansion or sequel to be set on a more Star Wars-like environment.

I'm not a big fan of NJO, but I really tempted to read that book for just that part

EDIT: It would be great if he dies in a sequal. It's a great ending to the entire Dark Forces series

 

It says missing. Dead Jedi such as Anakin, Ganner, Wurth etc. would've been mentioned alongside Katarn's name if he was dead.

 

Yeah, most people don't realize that the NJO is IT. There is nothing after it, only thing possible is EP VII-IX. This has been already determined by lucasfilm, if there is not EP VII, than this is the last of the star wars stories. So I think they might wait til EPIII is over, if GL says no to EP 7, then they will make a JKIII or JKIV in the New Jedi Order timeframe to bring Kyle's story ot a dramatic close.
