This thread is being founded in the hopes of further discussion on what Friend_of_Skylark terms "the greatest movie ever."

We will discuss not only the movie and its surface points and underlying symbolism, but also useless bs as well in addition to paying homage to the characters and actors of the film, and of course...

    DAVID BOWIE!

*bows and chants name three times*

    Rock on!

Well, I sure as hell can't!!

He's not an attractive man persay, but he possesses that rare charisma that turns mere men into gods of sexual energy!

A&E Live By Request!!! Hell yes!!!!

    ps. I love Sir Didymus!!!

Skylark: Is this your first thread? :)

And, I don't really know, but does this belong in the Jedi Council Community forum?

I don't really know what the LucasFilm Projects forum is used for, so I might be wrong. :)

This is my fourth thread, and Lucas Executive produced the picture and it's made by Jim Henson Studios or whatever and Lucasfilm...hence it is a Lucasfilm project!!! Back to the Future's here, I mean, c'mon, are you telling me that Labyrinth can't be either. And Labyrinth has midget performers as do all true and great Lucasfilm productions. :)

Sky: I haven't read the description of this forum, nor have I been here before. You would know more than I would. :)

I haven't seen this movie nor heard of it before. So, I'm afraid that I can't contribute anything productive to this thread. :(

Then all you's gosta do is rent the video, be enlightened and contribute.

If you like Bowie or Jennifer Connelly, you can talk about them since they star in the picture and then it's on topic still. Oh, Frank Oz does puppeteering!

Last time I rented an old movie, I was seriously disappointed. I rented Space Balls...and it was just so...pathetic, in my opinion. :(

    Hey, Space Balls rules!

Anyhoo, old movies are cool. Watch It Happened One Night and tell me it is not the greatest romantic comedy of all time...and there's not one kiss!

Anyhoo, FoS and I need to figure out how to ask for "Dance Magic Dance" for Bowie's live by request on Saturday. Any suggestions?

    Brainstorm!!!

I've been inspired by the ballroom in a bubble scene as I call it to finally know what theme I want for my future wedding. I want a cool masquerade like that!!! And I want the first song I dance with my husband to be that song!!!!

I've been considering wedding songs since I was...gee, probably even before I was in middle school. :)

I like almost anything by Amber...though that might be too club-like for a wedding. *shrugs*

Monica's Angel of Mine is also pretty good. :)

Oh! And Savage Garden! You've got to have Truly, Madly, Deeply at a wedding! You just have to!

I swear, I want my first slow dance to be to that song. It's so awesome, in my opinion. :)

A Masquerade wedding would be cool.

I heard someone mention that "Take My Hand" by Toto is a perfect song for both a wedding or a funeral, and I have to agree. It's so beautiful. It's from the Dune soundtrack. I highly reccomend downloading it. It's 2 minutes of instrumental greatness.

I like In a Dream, by Rockell. It's a bit techno-ish, though. So is Over and Over by Emjay. Something by Lasgo is also pretty neat.

    I have a thing for techno-ish love songs. :)

What do women see in men? We're so unattractive. I look in a mirror and I don't see why women consider men(who are more rugged and rougher skin) attractive. Women, on the other hand, have smooth skin, beautiful facial features, and delicate mannerisms.

Dolphin: You aren't attracted to men because it's not in your nature. Women are attracted to men because it's in their nature. Men are attracted to women because it's in their nature.

    Homosexuality/bisexuality are exceptions. :)
