I'm here too. Just like I promised! My favorite charachter was the Goblin King aka David Bowie. I first saw it when I was..well, lets just say young and I thought that he was a woman because of the hair and the lipgloss. In one scene he had the prettiest lip gloss on. Forgetting that...

Then it's the little fox on the the dog (I know their names. I just don't know how to spell them.)

 

Yes! Including my earlier vote that's three for Sir Diddimus!!! The Don Quiote of the Labyrinth!

 

I want my sexy David Bowie with his magical mystical jockstrap. Either that or Ludo the amazing rock caller

 

I used to think his name was Pluto when I was a kid Then Bruno.

I actually dug around and found out what GL did on Labyrinth : he was present at the story meetings, made some suggestions on the script, visited the set a few times and put his 2 cents in on the FX - when the film was finished he and Jim Henson traded cuts > JH would do a cut, GL would do a cut and so on > JH said his cuts were more liesurely and less structured whereas GL's cuts were tighter and more polot oriented. I think GL has gone over to JHs style of fantasy now.

Some parts of this movie are pretty dumb. I mean a farting lake????? Come on.

I fast forward that part every time because it makes me want to throw up.

Here's one of my favorite parts of the movie:

Come inside! Have a nice cup of tea!"

I love that part so much! The little worm is adorable!!!

 

Can anyone post a review of the movie? it was a good film in its time but the way he treated that girl and her brother was terrible, and he abused that pathetic little Dwarf because he was a small little guy,basically his character was really evil, but it was funny to see the Fox like guy riding around on the dog.

 

well, he's the goblin king. He loved her, he needed her and her capacity for imagination and her faith to survive. When she said "You have no power over me." suddenly, his world fell apart. It's really quite sad.
