Anyone else picked this up? I'm only about 100 pages in or so but it's great. The dialog between Anakin & Obi is spot on and often funny as they go back and forth.
If you don't have it, but you're reading this anyway, there's some cool stuff we find out:
There was an actual Sifo-Dyas. After ordering the clone army, he was killed by Dooku, completing his journey to the Dark Side. Dooku was then granted the title Darth Tyranus.
There's quite a bit of info on Grievous' background. How he was discovered and how the Geonosians messed with his brain to make him a better killing machine. Can't wait to see his bodyguards in action in Ep3 :)

Wow, it sounds really good! Wish I had time to read! I'll pick it up eventually, hopefully before E3...

I just picked up the book today!

I got it at Borders it was also 30% off too.

If anyone wants it I suggest getting it quickly while it is still on sale.

I made it through the first chapter today and I will try to get more into the book this weekend.

The dialog between Anakin and Obi-Wan in the first chapter was interesting. It seems like it will be a good read.

    More neat stuff:
    Sidious' master was Darth Plagueis.

I am absolutely loving this book! I keep thinking of Shadows of the Empire. Like that, it's like a novel adaption of a movie that was never made.

If anyone wants to sign up for the science fiction book club, which gets SW novels at reduced costs, please let me know, as I can get free books for signing you up :) If you're going to get SW novels anyway, this is the way to do it.

    Holy guacamole, Batman!
I finished it last night and in the immortal words of Keanu Reeves: "Whoa!"
Do yourself a favor and read this before seeing the movie. The book with the events mentioned in the opening crawl.
I'm giving this one a 10/10, it was just that good! Not only could I hear the actor's voices while reading, but I was also hearing the music in some parts.

I just finished reading it this morning!!!

    I loved it!!!

I just lent it to Jeff this morning once I finished.

Dex I did have one thing that is bugging me about the book?

Why did that droid tell C-3PO about the coming days?
It was near the end of the book.
How does the droid know this? And why? Why tell C-3PO?

    Just curious?

I read it about a month ago.
In terms of character backstory, it was very good.
However it had very poor writing, and a story which was dull at times. I'm not a big fan of EU, and Luceno is one of it's worst authors in my opinion.

Don't worry Dex your sarcasm wasn't lost on everyone.

I enjoyed the book. The books were always a great source of back story and description of things the movies just never touched.

I'm curious about how this book and the 5 animated episodes run with each other as far as continuaty(sp) goes.

Watching last night's CW I don't seem to recall Coruscant being under such attack when Palp was nabbed in the book. But I forget things.
