CT Lando's mustache

Until the Battle of Endor, Lando is exactly like Boba Fett; his feats are established off-screen.

We were told that Lando was the former pilot of the Millenium Falcon, the beloved vehicle we all know as the fastest ship in the galaxy.

Apparently, we were supposed to infer that Lando's piloting skills are at least comparable with the current pilot of the Millenium Falcon.

Hence, his piloting skills make him worthy of the rank General.

Besides all of that though, great joke about the mustache!

I can see Chewie complaining to himself in his native language: "I help save the entire Rebel Alliance and don't get a medal. Mr. Mustache does some neat piloting in one lesser battle and is made General. I am a giant walking mustache; where are my medals!
